“no!” mark cries, distraught. “eden!”

he sighs, eyeing the tofumobile in the distance.

“do you,” he starts, hesitating.

“what,” jimin turns from the wind, the tear track shining on his cheek.

“c-call?” he gulps.

“what’s wrong?” jimin asks, always the first to notice when jungkook is in distress.

a blush spreads across jungkook’s cheeks and he glances at his hyungs with embarrassment.

“well, i can’t call because i didn’t get a plan for my phone,” jimin says. “i’m assuming it’s the same for you guys. so now what? where could they possibly go?”

a moment goes by before an idea suddenly occurs to jimin.

“but the chinatown here is so sketchy,” jungkook grimaces.

it’s not that jungkook particularly wants to give up, but the situation has become increasingly difficult and draining. but most of all, it’s hurtful.

jimin smiles. somehow the roles have reversed, and now he’s the one doing the comforting.

with that said, jimin digs through his bag for loose change.

“there’s a phone booth over there,” he murmurs, looking to mark. “can you call the taxi?”

mark nods, and whilst jungkook sulks, jimin finds himself lost in his own thoughts.

he’ll have to take claire out on another date, he realizes. maybe the movies, or shopping? jimin smiles just thinking about it.

he rushes through calling the taxi, not even caring that he's being rude. (he feels a little guilty but mostly because he knows eden would). right after, he dials edens number, knowing it by heart. he glances at the other boys, who remain oblivious.

the phone rings and rings but eden never picks up.

mark is upset. why doesn't she want to talk to him? does she hate him now? why is she still in denial?

*meanwhile*

"eden, someone's calling you," claire says.

"who is it?" alyssa asks.
