I’ve posted about this before, but our stove is a piece of shit and literally falling apart (the burner caps are disintegrating, which is so fun). When I went to look at new ones, I realized that the size of ours (36”) is bigger than normal and considered “professional size”. Which = $$$$$. Anyway, we finally ordered the new one today, after putting it off for almost a year, since the first cap disintegrated and broke. I’m so excited to have a fully functional oven/stove! I’m even more excited for my husband, who does 95% of the cooking!

#I gathered the options and let him pick #because he does almost all the cooking #and he did t pick the one I wanted #which is FINE but also 😤#but like just a little bc any new range will be a massive upgrade from what we have #that should be didn’t but god forbid we be allowed to edit tags

The boardwalk has a pretty good deal on unlimited rides after 5pm during the week! We should take the boys on an evening adventure!

Oops bad timing to ask to go to every other week for couples therapy when my husband just had a bit of a ~breakthrough~.

But 8 yr old is starting play therapy and guess what! All the therapies cost ONE MILLION DOLLARS! So that’s why I asked to cut ours back.

Sometimes when I brush my teeth with my electric toothbrush, it makes my ears itch.

And I was thinking about how in the 90’s my friends and I loved the oldies from the 60’s, which were 30 yrs old.

We’re going to my parents house for breakfast, for my dads birthday. They have houseguests, which means my mom is going to be On and I need to just steep myself agead of time, because I know I’m going to be annoyed as hell.

I stand corrected! My mom was only mildly annoying, my prickly 8 yr old immediately hit it off with both kids (honestly a miracle), the parents are pleasant and not Jesus-y (they’re church friends from Indiana? I don’t remember how my parents even know them), even saying “we live in the country, we see some confederate flags, but we’re not afraid to put those people in their place”. lol what does that mean for a church pastor?! Anyway, we ended up joining them on their adventure to the mountains and then the beach boardwalk and everyone is having a pleasant time!

My friend/previous coworker is catching up on dental work, and it’s been a lot. She was told she’d need two root canals and opted to have those molars removed instead. She asked if I’d accompany her to her second extraction, because her friend who had been coming wasn’t available, and the first one was pretty brutal.

I can hear her crying from the waiting room 😔 I don’t think they have the door closed, which seems like it should be to give her some privacy?? Idk. I feel so bad!

I have never found him attractive, but yikes, Dax Shepard has aged like a gallon of milk.

There was a beach rescue this weekend (lifeguard was 16?!?) and the video is pretty intense. The waves were HUGE and the ocean was raging, include a massive rip current, and full of fucking people?!? WHY WOULD YOU EVEN GO IN THAT WATER?! That’s insane! Santa Cruz water is cold and gross anyway!

I finally started watching Shrinking. What a delight!
