James really wants to go to NYC for his bday trip this year. I would love that, but finding a good time is proving challenging. With the flight and time change, it takes a whole day to get there, so it’s not really feasible to do a quick weekend trip. I don’t want him to miss a lot of school, so finding a time frame around a holiday/day off would be great, but those times are always way more expensive. I’ll keep trying, though!

I’m cat sitting again. I went over today, and noticed things were off. A glass starfish fell off a window (p sure the suction cup just crapped out), the laundry room door that’s always is always closed was open, and there were crumbs in the sink. I noticed that, because when we were there yesterday I was washing my hands in the sink and thinking “this sink is SO spotless, I hope washing my hands did won’t leave water spots.” So just very weird vibes. Obviously I assumed a murderer is living in the attic. Had a quick kitty visit (they don’t really want much to do with us) and hauled ass out of there. I texted the owner and she said her daughter came over to use the pool today and was supposed to tell me (I know her). HAHA OK WELL SHE DIDNT! But glad to know there’s a reason for all the things!

Two weeks until school starts and good lord am I ready. Kids are hot and whiny and bickering and are boooored but don’t want to do anythingggg.
I’ve posted about this before, but our stove is a piece of shit and literally falling apart (the burner caps are disintegrating, which is so fun). When I went to look at new ones, I realized that the size of ours (36”) is bigger than normal and considered “professional size”. Which = $$$$$. Anyway, we finally ordered the new one today, after putting it off for almost a year, since the first cap disintegrated and broke. I’m so excited to have a fully functional oven/stove! I’m even more excited for my husband, who does 95% of the cooking!
The boardwalk has a pretty good deal on unlimited rides after 5pm during the week! We should take the boys on an evening adventure!
*sees reports of shots fired in the parking lot the night we almost went*

Oops bad timing to ask to go to every other week for couples therapy when my husband just had a bit of a ~breakthrough~.
But 8 yr old is starting play therapy and guess what! All the therapies cost ONE MILLION DOLLARS! So that’s why I asked to cut ours back.
Sometimes when I brush my teeth with my electric toothbrush, it makes my ears itch.

And I was thinking about how in the 90’s my friends and I loved the oldies from the 60’s, which were 30 yrs old.
And I’ve gotta say.
That revelation absolutely fucked me up and I haven’t stopped thinking about it since.
My feeds are overrun by Tom Holland and Zendaya. They seem so lovely! She is absolutely stunning, and he looks at her like she hung the moon! Not to mention their secret wedding! Delightful!

I love this show.
We’re going to my parents house for breakfast, for my dads birthday. They have houseguests, which means my mom is going to be On and I need to just steep myself agead of time, because I know I’m going to be annoyed as hell.
I stand corrected! My mom was only mildly annoying, my prickly 8 yr old immediately hit it off with both kids (honestly a miracle), the parents are pleasant and not Jesus-y (they’re church friends from Indiana? I don’t remember how my parents even know them), even saying “we live in the country, we see some confederate flags, but we’re not afraid to put those people in their place”. lol what does that mean for a church pastor?! Anyway, we ended up joining them on their adventure to the mountains and then the beach boardwalk and everyone is having a pleasant time!
