Glad you asked… My name is Garret and I am a High School/Middle School Art Educator for the Lakeview School District. I am currently living in Grove City, but spent most of my life living in Clarion, PA. After graduating from Clarion High School, I went on to earn my Bachelors Degree from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in Art Education with minors in Art History and Studio Art. I have always had a passion for art and sharing what I know with anyone who will listen, therefor, becoming an art educator always seemed the best course.

In the three years I have been teaching at the Lakeview School District, I have witnessed a strong push for using technology in the classroom. I will admit, as someone who teaches mostly through demonstration and one-on-one instruction, I have had some difficulty adjusting. I recognize the benefits technology can provide in education, but I have struggled to find effective ways to incorporate technology into my daily lessons.

Hi everyone!! I am Breanna and I am currently working as a long term substitute for Armstrong School District. I teach 4th and 5th grade learning support. I graduated from Clarion University with a degree in Early Childhood/Special Education in 2016. I currently am working towards my Masters degree in Special Education.

If I am not teaching, you can find me spending time with my family and friends. I come from a huge black and gold loving family. I enjoy spending time in Pittsburgh, rooting on our amazing sports teams and spending time at the beach. I currently am planning my wedding for this upcoming July, and I can’t wait to marry the man of my dreams.

I graduated from Clarion in 2013 with my bachelors in middle level education with concentrations in math and social studies.  This is my final course before I am officially finished with masters in education with a concentration in curriculum.  I am definitely excited to be finished!

I am a 7th and 8th grade math teacher at Oil City Middle School in Oil City, Pennsylvania.  This is my 2nd year teaching there.  Previously, I taught for 3 years in Selma, North Carolina.

In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my husband and 13 month old son.  I enjoy camping, hiking, kayaking, and riding bikes.  I am also avid sports fans, especially of the Pittsburgh Pirates, Steelers, and Penguins.

I have quite a bit of experience with mobile devices.  Although I am not always on my phone, I do have it readily available to me.  I think it is important to stay in close contact with others via texts and emails.  I encourage my students to email me anytime they have questions on homework, so I don’t use it all for personal use.  I also use my phone for school as well.  I recently had to start locking my phone and log in through my fingerprint because my 14 month old son had figured out how to unlock my phone and move around apps and get into things he shouldn’t be.  I also have a Samsung tablet that I use often as well.

Who Am I?

Hi my name is Stephanie. I have been married to my husband for two and half years.  We have one daughter that just turned a year old on New Years Day.  So I enjoy playing with my daughter, spending time with my family, camping, and being outdoors.  

Educational Background

I earned my bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education from Clarion University of Pennsylvania in the spring of 2012.  Currently, I am a Pre-K Counts teacher Child Development Centers in Franklin, PA.  I have been a teacher here for five years.  

Mobile Devices

I have some experience with mobile devices with having an Apple iPhone and an Ipad, but I typically don’t download or explore apps unless someone tells me about it and their experience with it.  At work we use Google Docs for our lesson plans and a tablet that we can watch videos on, listen to music on, and check the weather on.  I am excited to check out new apps and learn more about technology.

Why did I chose this class?

I chose this class because I am excited to check out new apps and learn more about technology.  I am also looking forward to learning how to incorporate technology into my classroom.

Personal Background

I am Casi and have been married for seven years.  I grew up 5 minutes from where I currently live.  I like my home and that I am able to live so closely to my parents.  I like to play in my flower beds and working on my home.  We have a German Short Hair that just turned 1 year old in December.  We are hoping to breed him soon with another German Short Hair.  He is my baby and enjoy my time with him.  I like to hangout with my friends and family in my free time.  We like to go riding in the summer in our Razor.  It is always a good time to go on trails in the woods and have challenges with obstacle courses.

Educational Background

I have a degree in Early Childhood/Elementary Education.  I am working on my Master’s in Early Childhood.  I should graduate in May!!  I will have gotten both degrees at Clarion University.  I work as a Preschool Teacher in Franklin, PA and have worked for the Child Development Center for seven years.  I enjoy teaching and love listening and educating young children.

Mobile Devices

I have a little background in mobile apps, meaning I download them then use them.  I don’t worry too much about other apps I’m not familiar with.  I like to explore apps that I have, and it is easy to explore apps on your mobile device.

Choosing this class and what I hope to get…

I had a German short hair growing up. He was the best dog. My dad was an avid waterfowl hunter. He and the dog would go together. He was a great retriever, too.

Hi, I’m Megan. I live outside of the Pittsburgh area with my eight year old daughter, Kloe. In the summer, we spend a lot of time outside at home or at camp. I really enjoy kayaking and try to go often. This year I’d really like to start hiking. I also enjoy reading, cooking, traveling, and just relaxing.

I graduated high school and got my cosmetology license. After two years, I started taking classes at Slippery Rock University in Elementary and Special Education. I worked in a nail salon while going to school. I left the salon and started substitute teaching. I have been subbing for 5 years. This year I just started working on my masters in Special Education at Clarion University.

I have used a mobile device such as my phone or iPad, with the Internet for about 7 years. I use my devices daily, mostly for entertainment. My favorite app to waste time on is Instagram.
