I don't know if characterizing Izayoi Sakuya as "Amelia Bedelia half a head injury away from being Koishi Koimeiji" is exactly correct but it is better than "Cool standoffish maid" when her default response to a threat is to tell it to kill itself or threaten to kill herself.

I really like the idea of Yukari having a kind of gilded birdcage for Renko, stashed away in some forgotten hole in space. Full of all sorts of toys she collected over thousands of years, a labyrinth of old telescopes, computers, keys to jingle. Yukari plucks her from time and she just joins the neglected playthings in her special playpen, one more exhibit in the museum she's trapped in. Chen's job is to dust it once every 3-4 months.
