Nesta very much gives off the same energy that she receives. She's never been mean to anyone who hasn't also been mean to her.
"If Nesta treated Gwyn and Emerie the way she treated the IC..."
Ahh, no. If the IC treated Nesta the way that Gwyn and Emerie treated her, maybe things would be different. The IC hated Nesta before they even met her, all because she "let" Feyre hunt. They've never once cared about Nesta as a person or what trauma she might have gone through as a child. All they care about is Feyre's trauma. Nesta sees and hears everything. The second she opened the door to the IC, she knew they hated her and she acted accordingly.
The big difference being Azriel. Az has never once said a bad word about Nesta, and Nesta has never been mean to him. He treats her like a normal person, and she reciprocates. Personally, I think this is because Az is the only one who can see that Nesta is like him. Both may have been raised by the same parents as their siblings, but both of them were the only ones to endure years of abuse.
When it comes to Nesta's friends, or at least those she is nice to (Emerie, Gwyn, the Valkyries, Clotho, the other priestesses, Eris, Helion, Bryce, Ember, Randall) none of their worlds revolve around Feyre. Some of them may be be aware that Feyre did the hunting, but they don't hold it against Nesta that she didn't. They see Nesta from a fresh perspective and Nesta responds accordingly.
When it comes to Emerie and Gwyn, they are what each other needed so desperately. Emerie needed someone like Nesta, a female who wasn't impressed with the male warriors in Windhaven, and a female who wasn't obsessed with marriage and baby-making. Nesta found in Emerie someone who sided with her against Rhysand (at least somewhat): "If you're cold out there, you shouldn't suffer...No matter what the High Lord may think." And someone who didn't fear her, someone who gave her naked approval of her spectacular beheading of the King of Hybern.
With Gwyn, Nesta taught her to stand up for herself, that she didn't deserve a tongue-lashing for her supposed failure, that she was someone worth defending. Gwyn taught Nesta that even in the midst of trauma, she could find joy and happiness, she could smile and laugh, dance and sing.
Nesta, Gwyn, and Emerie found in each other unconditional love and acceptance. The ability to be vulnerable, to share their deepest secrets and scars. To open up about their "failures". What they gained was the knowledge that none of them have failed anyone. That they have each other's backs. That they're the rocks against which the surf crashes. Nothing can break them.
âI will become a new kind of god.â
Did you know today is @separatist-apologistâs birthday? Last year, Galucien made his debut and I just had to bring him back. Happy birthday, MB â Iâm so grateful to call you my friend đâ¨
it's him, babes
Me to me: It's okay to let Lucien be a little happy here
Also me: He adopts a chicken. It does not like him.
azriel is the definition of that one meme âsometimes a man hurts every woman in his life because his true soulmate is a manâ he had no business having such sexual tension with eris at the high lords meeting.

No way people are upset over how Nesta treated her father.
That man watched Nesta be beaten and abused by his wife and mother in law for years and did nothing. You will never make me feel bad for that man.
Iâm sick and tired of people saying that nesta needed tough love. Not the fuck she did NOT!! She needed someone to sit with her and fucking listen and tell her that she wasnât as terrible as her thoughts were telling her she was. Fuck off with that tough love shit when she was already having a rough time
Like notice how when Emerie and Gwyn became friends with her they showed her nothing but kindness and love. That is how nesta healed. Not forcing her to do things she didnât want to do. Her friends would NEVER.
is this your high lord??
these were supposed to be for my friend but i thought i'd share it so here you go, some shitpost doodles of hls đŤś
tamlin in that meeting:
unapologetically
no explanation..
AND A NESTA- because she reminded me of the caption..
imagine watching a human woman stand up to your high lord - who is more powerful than her own abuser - because you can't find your own spine to defend your damn mate, lmao loser
Iâm back on my bullshit thinking about ACOSF again.
Comparing Nesta and Feyreâs journeys is just so . . .wrong. Regardless of who you like more, when you take the time to reflect on how both of their love stories âendâ, objectively, one is at best an abuse victim, at worst a horror story.
Feyre gets everything she ever wanted, absurdly quickly. Five homes, endless power, a baby boy within a couple years of her marriage when many fae try for hundreds of years. Her mate/husband is a piece of shit, but she forgives and loves him regardless. All of the most powerful people in the Night Court, and not a single one who will ever be anything less than an echo chamber for Feyre.
Nesta is berated like a dog for all of ACOSF. She is trapped, only let out to complete tasks, her own bodyâs abilities hidden away from her, and used as a sexual object to control a man. She is emotionally berated by her jailer while he continues to fuck her. All of her sharp edges are filed down until she is acceptable. When she steps out of line, she is then physically abused via the hike, forced to carry more than her body is meant to endure. The abuse continues mentally, despite the man she is with knowing she is suicidal.
Yet, Nesta endures. She does as she is expected. She breaks. Against all odds, she survives the Blood Rite, despite no one in the Inner Circle caring to try and help her.
She saves the entire Night Court royal family. High Lord, High Lady, son.
By the end, mere months after Nyxâs birth, Nesta still has no place in the Night Court. She is emotionally abused, still. She exists to serve. Her te refuses to defend her, even when her life is threatened. The only home she has is very nearly trapped inside of, being forced to other perform extreme physical activity, or ask another person to let her leave her own house.
Nesta is an abuse victim. I honestly do not care what mean things sheâs said to Feyre when they were literal children. I do not care that the âcruelâ voice in Feyreâs head is Nestaâs. That does not justify or excuse that Nesta is trapped and emotionally and mentally abused on her best of days. She has nothing in this new life that is hers. Everything is held within the palm of Rhysandâs hand.
Feyre has gotten everything she ever wanted. She has faced no consequences for the hundreds of lives sheâs utterly ruined. For the theft or laws she broke. She is loved, cherished, protected, adored.
Nesta is eternally paying the price for childhood sins. She is trapped, violated, and has become the thing her mother wanted her to be. A woman taking the abuse men offer, all for the sake of her family.
Nesta will never see the world. She will never know what the world has to offer for a woman with a good name and coin to spare. Nesta is a horror story.

Cassians internal monolog is so mean spirited and misogynistic. from his mood improving when Nesta fell down the stairs, hurting herself to the point of having a bruised eye and blood in her mouth, to Cassian commenting on her breasts while she was emaciated and dangerously thin. Why on earth do people think he's the most emotionally mature one or most sensitive male character in the series. because of Feyre? This man thrives on pain being inflicted on his own mate
Thereâs something deeply powerful and tragic about Nesta Archeron saying, âa man is a man is a man.â This line encapsulates a lifetime of pain, where every man in her lifeâwhether father, lover, or allyâhas failed her, neglected her, or outright abused her. Itâs a statement born from heartbreak, a bitter acceptance that no matter who the man is, they will ultimately hurt her.
Nestaâs father was absent when she and her sisters needed him the most, leaving them to fend for themselves. Tomas, her first love, tried to force himself on her, showing her that love can turn into violence. Cassian, the man she ends up with, is seen by some as a protector, but for Nesta, he represents another cycle of abuseâemotionally degrading her, humiliating her, and assaulting her.
Her declaration is not just a reflection of cynicism but a profound revelation of the patterns sheâs endured her entire life. No man has ever truly seen Nesta for who she is without trying to control her, break her down, or dismiss her autonomy. The fact that she ends up with Cassian, someone who embodies this same toxic masculinity, solidifies her belief that all men are the sameâpowerful, aggressive, and more than willing to take advantage of her vulnerabilities.
Itâs a gut-wrenching reality, where even when Nesta seeks love, she only finds herself back in the hands of a man who mirrors the trauma she has carried for so long.
