“Oh—” had she known about this, perhaps the study wouldn’t be as big of a mess as it was. It was her fault, of course. In her head, trying out a new spell inside was a good idea. Obviously considering what the study looked like, she had been wrong. Hawke was only thankful her mother hadn’t been around when the minor explosion happened. At least this way, she could blame it on someone else. Or clean it up before her mother came home. Still, it was a nice surprise nonetheless.
“Am I getting a reward? Let me guess, it’s a castle, isn’t it? Or perhaps new boots? I wouldn’t say no to boots.” She grins at him making sure he wouldn’t take her too seriously. Although if she was honest, she would love to get a new pair of boots.
he had come to accept their differences-- even though he had long come to terms with the way other lives differentiated from that of a prince. if anything, his youth had been a mess, not only riddled with silk and cleanliness but sloppy, quick and make-shift atmospheres. thinking back was not endlessly pleasant, he decided, and did away with it quickly. at least he supposed that his sense of humour remained somewhat intact.
