Earthspark AU Skyfire :))) I wanted to make him look like an astronaut <3 guy who likes to mind his own business

In our au he was found in the ice by the decepticons in the early nineties and promptly ditched, but he never technically joined the autobots, either. He's autobot-adjacent but officially a civilian and never participated in any part of the war. Currently he is working at an environmental science research lab in northern Nunavut with a team of human scientists he gets along well with and considers good friends. He gets really mad about climate change and WILL argue with climate change deniers online. He also runs a moderately successful educational youtube channel where he talks about science, but a lot of the time the comments under his videos say stuff like "I love falling asleep to these videos, his voice is so soothing<3" Hang in there Skyfire!

Summary:

Immediately following the battle with Mandroid to save every transformer on Earth, the entire Malto family is tired, battered, and a little traumatized, but hopeful for the future. Now, there's a lot of cleanup to do, and... paperwork? Now that G.H.O.S.T is no longer meddling, the leaders of the Autobots (Optimus and Elita) and the leaders of the Decepticons (Starscream and Soundwave) are finally able to officially put an end to the war by negotiating a peace treaty. The terrans are ecstatic. Alex is thrilled. Starscream is impatient. Optimus has a headache. Finally, it seems like cybertronians and humans will be able to exist together on Earth in peace and harmony... hey, wait, what's this about G.H.O.S.T retreating into the shadows to continue their evil schemes, with a mysterious new benefactor? And a 'ghost' from the past making a reappearance? What the hell, man. Just when we thought we could relax.

Since the whole thing is outlined in our docs already, rather than posting it as one big longfic, we're going to be posting each 'episode' of our season rewrite as its own fic as parts of a series, to make it more easily digestible the further in we get. Our (me and my sibling) rewrite is basically from scratch, with some minor basic elements from canon s2, but with our own main season plot conflict involving the remnants of G.H.O.S.T. And the decepticons aren't all inherently evil for the sake of being evil. And Starscream is a diva and icon, of course.
