I still think they came out rlly cute tho 🥺 and i did end up finding a simpler way to draw later on lol

It should be easier to draw with simpler designs bur duuuude i looove details 😔

I think they both have tiny paws compared to everyone else.

Shellington looks like he has smaller paws when theyre relaxed but when he uncurls them theyre very webbed and bigger. Dashis paws are a lil bigger proportionally compared to others, which makes sense cuz she is an ouppy.

And.obviously no one can defeat Barnacles even in terms of proportions

I really love the idea that Kwazii has become more proficient in GUP repair over the years cuz of all the times he helped Tweak (originally cuz he was in trouble and then cuz he wanted to lol)

Like obvioualy hes not some super mechanic or whatever, but im sure after years of helping repairs and stuff he knows how to maintain them and repair common issues on his own lol

I think they both enjoy the company though

Also fun fact, irl cats show dominance by grooming others and rabbits show dominance by demanding to being groomed by others...

so irl they can just end up... both thinking theyre the boss and sp so perfectly content...

Also sidenote rabbits can be really yerritorial and have chased other pets like cats when theyre introduced as a new pet 😭

like im not saying this stuff impacts Kwazii and Tweaks relationship but yk 😭 fun to know and maybe mess around with lmfao

I do think Tweak 200% has rested her chin on Kwaziis head while chilling side by side before.

Rabbits rest their chin on stuff or people to show "this is mine and part of my safe space" cuz they leave their scent that way lol

That was 10000% intentional on Tweaks part cuz i really.like the dynamic where she sees him as a stupid (affectionate) little brother

Also she has 10000% felt the urge to bite wires they ALWAYS wanna bite wires and sht 😭

Ik irl its the " must clear paths in foliage so i dont get trapped later in a dangerous situation" instinct but cant tell u how many times it just means thwy just wanna eat your wifi box cords -w- which IS BAD for them

Tweak hasnt ever given in to the passing temptation but Ranger Marsh 3000% has and thats why he doesnt trust technology cuz he listened to his gut and was. Punished for it.

Rusty- "Prophet" of the Nguruvilu Pirates

Captain Killer

Rusty is a name he earned. Theres tales that the ships he attacked and left soulless, were sent to drift aimlessly with so much blood the metal turned to rust. Pirates refuse to say his name, les they invoke the demons wrath. His supporters, or cultists fooled by his manipulative charm rather, cry prophet and divine humble leader that is an awe and inspiration. They say he is what leads to finding ones true power and salvation from the world.

Under the mask he takes off, just when he's playing with his victims, is a very sad and disgusting man. Yes, he's impulsive, careless, bitter, lazy, irritable, impatient, entitled, and incapable of restraint when it comes to preventing harm to another.

But that is not what makes him a monster. It is his greed. It is his hunger for the the thrill and fantasy of total control of ones body and mind, to break bit by bit under his metal claws alone. He does'nt care what happens to his stupid clan or cult. He just wants the opportunity to feel alive while another slowly dies. He's a simple guy.

The mask he has is extremely empathetic, humble, and inspiring. One that shares the message that he's merely a vessel chosen because he fit the bill, and that he'll guide you to your true greatness and free you as long as you obey.

Sana- Pirate Queen of the Split Tail Clan

(Great-aunt to Kwazii)

Mother Merciless, formerly known as Sana Stray, has quite the reputation! Some say she's a cannibal that devours the hearts of men she adores- And others see her as a grumpy and crass but loving figure.

Born within the Split Tail Clan, leading a mutiny, being one of the few survivors of the S.S. Massacre, and her wild trickery and ferocity (shes the type who believes in sending a strong brutal message to prevent the pain of innocents, and will be merciful in secret) has all culminated in her being chosen as the pirate queen for the Split Tail Clan.

Yes, Sana has always done her best to trick everyone that she is far more vicious and cruel than she is. Those who meet her at first will see a bitter and rude woman with anger issues, but once you get to know her... well then she's Mama Meanie who's actually got three kittens and is doing her best to improve the lives of every single life around her even if she can be a little strict. Works herself to the bone. Although softness doesn't come naturally to her.

Stay on your toes though, shes pretty mischievious and likes to deploy the snakes she raises in her shenagins! -_- She likes pranks. Especially convincing others that there be a ghost amongst them.

She'll never admit she missed Calico Jack though, that bloke's stupid!!! (She WASN'T jealous because she saw him romance her sister away as a kid she's NOT... Also she's way cooler than him and Pete totally likes her better.. SHE DIDN'T MISS HIM OR CRY ABOUT HIM GET IT STRAIGHT.[lie])

Child of the Stars

Anira - Navigator of the Salty Spirit

(Kwazii's mother)

The last navigator of the Salty Spirit, a ship previosly captained by none other than Calico Jack. She's actually his daughter in law and Kwazii's very own mum. She wasn't born into piracy, but one day of living her (rather depressing) life as a " weird foreigner orphan" in Japan, she saw a head full of red hair and was immediatly captivated.

Needless to say not only did she MAKE the weird new kid who could barely speak the language become her friend, she ended up sniffing her little nose exactly where it shouldn't be and soon the Salty Spirit had a tiny energetic stowaway bouncing off the walls. 🙄 God forbid a girl search for romance and adventure.

She throws away her connections to her previous life every connection she gets, Anira would much rather dance and learn about spirits and stars than deal with a bunch of entitled land lubber bullies all her life. (She was kinda outcast...Being the autistic kid who was also a pickpocket didn't help 🥀)

Anira isn't really a fighter, but she's got a ton of tricks on her tail! Turns out having zero fear of clearly dangerous people is pretty useful for making distractions! (She managed to turn endless yapping and "being annoying" into a skill good for her.) Not to mention she's not half bad at snagging some useful things like keys- or useful information from strangers. She did shank a guy once.

She's extremely beloved by her found family- whether it's as a lover, a little sister, a best friend, a niece, an auntie, or a daughter. And even a mum

She's such a free spirit guys 🥺 Nothing Bad Happens. 🥹

Octo OC August Day 4: OC Backstory

Much like her older siblings, Nix was musically trained. Her father had trained them vocally as well as taught them how to play various instruments. Churches were one of the many places the siblings performed at despite the fact that their father wasn't particularly religious. Their mother wanted them to perform exclusively at church, but she had no say in it. They were all part of a band, but they disbanded as they took different paths in life. Shalim continued pursuing music under pressure from his father.

While Nix loves music, she had her heart set on becoming a mortician much like her grandfather and inheriting his mortuary. Unfortunately for Nix, even though the mortuary was promised to her and she was set to inherit it, the business ended up being sold to the Gildersleeve's by her parents in order to fund Shalim's education and career.

Oogruk Ignirtoq (shifter version) -

His Lore, simplified :

Oogruk, a leopard seal, is the now deceased Commander of the HMCS Manitoba, and formerly Barnacles's right-hand man and very best friend, maybe even more. He was a serious man, always barking orders, always stone-faced, a man who despised all things related to pirates and worse more the 'criminals' themselves, but always well-meaning. It was his job to lead the navymen under him, and he swore an oath that he would never let them down. Until an evil pirate's sabotage sunk his ship, his home on the sea, and trapped him below, shrapnel pinning him to the stairwell and flames devouring his body, and he was gone.

But not permanently. Now, he haunts the Octopod with his fellow navymen, helping his former soulmate and captain in any way he can. Unfortunately, however, he is far from a fan of Barnacles's new right-hand cat, and he sees Kwazii as no more human than the treacherous criminal murderers that had wronged him all his life, even since childhood.

Lucille G. Gauthreaux (anthro version) -

Her Lore, Simplified :

Lucille is obviously an alligator (not a crocodile, lol, and she's incredibly serious about the distinction) from Louisiana and one of my few canon-fitting ocs. She is a veterinary nutritionist, determined to feed the hungry so all she meets may be at their utmost potential for health and wellbeing, and always happy to try new foods herself. A family who used the time and passion it took to make and share a homemade meal to bond, and a hard life where food became her warmest comfort, both raised her to adore the culinary arts and helping those who need her help in the way she knew best.

She loves being an Octo-Agent, introduced to the Octonauts by her friend Ranger Marsh, and she is happy to bring her blue heron (and hippie) wife Raincloude along on all her missions.

Stag Lòpez (anthro version) -

His Lore, Simplified :

If you follow my art and don't know my beloved Stag, then idk where you've been lol

Stag is my darling crpytid son, a Not-Deer, and a 500 year old parasite taken host of a white tail deer in the Appalachian Mountains, and happy to hunt down and devour all manner of poachers and illegal hunters - and it pays pretty well too. His history is long and his humanity ever growing, once an unfeeling beast with no other desire than to consume and grow, and now, slowly, becoming a man who has loved and lost and will continue to do so for as long as the universe keeps the cycle of his eternal lover's reincarnation going strong.

Now, he waits for his lover to return, and spends his waiting time doing his job, helping the locals, and on occasion, causing some mischief ;]

Side notes :

He hates cars and water - he was run over in the 30s and has despised the "metal beasts" ever since - and, he's not a very good swimmer, so lakes and ponds and worst of all, the ocean, frighten him, but he'd never admit that aloud - not that he could, however. Due to the destruction of his vocal cords (the black holes in his neck), he's mute, and not yet the brightest at ASL, but he knows enough to get a point across lol --- if he could talk, his words would be a mix of hundreds of different speech styles, mixing old english with modern southern slang and all manner of speech patterns he's learned over all his years.
