Wyper's accidental journey to blue seas, first day (end) and second day :
oww oof my bones
after his little splash in the ocean, Wyper's bad pain day turned into a worse pain day, basically knocking him out. well, he's still conscious (unfortunately for him) he's just in so much pain that he can't do anything
so right now he's been moved to Cricket's room (best bed in the whole ship, on account of Cricket also has chronic pain), undressed and dried and wrapped in towels, and Cricket is asking ship doctor Omaki if he can't do anything about the stranger from the sky's pain
it, uh. it's not going well
so the thing about efficient medication is that it always has a dosage where it will either kill you, or at the very least make you way worse than before. the margin of error varies depending on the active compound, and on the physiology of the patient
for instance, cats can take a lot of the same medications as humans (albeit at smaller doses) but do not tolerate human anti-inflammatories
anyway no one here has ever interacted with people from sky islands, and Omaki does Not know if Wyper's physiology is the same as a blue seas human's. he is Not risking it
(later, once Wyper is conscious enough to hold a conversation, he will discuss the medication he usually takes, and Omaki will start him on low doses of painkillers. he will, however, refuse to prescribe the foxglove Wyper normally takes for his arrhythmia, because it has a very small safety window that Omaki just doesn't want to risk. and also they don't have that on board)
now. Wyper, as a proud warrior of Shandia, does feel some amount of shame for showing himself so weak in front of strangers, and for depending on said strangers. not that he had any choice, but that's just the kind of man he is
anyway Montblanc "if not for Masira and Shoujou i would have died of loneliness" Cricket hears Wyper apologizing for showing himself in such a shameful way and is like ??? you mean in pain ??? the pain you can't do anything about ??? dude what the fuck
not that he has any place to talk regarding 'looking at health conditions as something to not show in public' because he is still pretending his brain never sustained any damage from his years of diving, even though he has currently forgotten his own last name
i'm sure this specific hole in his memory will have no consequence in the future
