When the days are gloomy, foggy, and rainy.

A hundred things its seams receive.

The book half-read, the lunch prepared,

The secrets whispered, moments shared.

From New York streets to London's day.

From art museum's printed plea,

To the bookstore's quiet poetry.

It hangs so low, it bears the weight,

And never once arrives too late.

It carries purpose, large and small,

The grocery haul, the shopping call.

The straps are worn, the fabric soft,

A silent witness, held aloft.

With every journey, every trip,

A tale of life, upon the hip.

A simple sack, a humble form,

To weather sun, to face the storm.

The tote bag's magic, in its hold,

A story waiting to be told.
