People struggling with hair loss tend to think that the only way to fix it is to use expensive products or spend hours in a beauty salon. The truth is, any haircare journey can start at home- for free.
Having healthy hair means focusing on your scalp health first.
Scalp massages are known to promote hair growth by increasing blood flow to the hair follicles, stretching their cells to produce thicker strands of hair. It sounds fancy, but they're simpler than you'd think.
They last between 2 and 5 minutes, and you can do them with your own fingers or a scalp massager, if that's easier for you. If you choose to use your fingers, make sure you wash your hands beforehand. Don't apply too much pressure, because that can end up doing more harm than good- light to moderate pressure is more than enough. Press your fingertips gently in small, circular motions and try to focus on moving your scalp, not your hair. If you're using a scalp massager, focus on sections and spend about 15-20 seconds on each one.
