(Hi :3)
Somehow, they had fallen on the portal again, and had ended up in another dimension… again
Cinder sighed, floating around the place to try and figure out if they knew where they were
(As for who they may meet, you have some really neat aus so, surprise me ;3 (just don’t make them a Ruin))
A quiet, pitched hissing begun, but seconds after it started they quieted. The sound of a metal hand fumbling for a grip on the door handle and low grumbling took its place.
The wooden door swung open and there stood a strange nine feet tall Eclipse model. The strangeness of this certain Eclipse was not his quite intricate designs that are rarely seen, but instead living coral snakes that sprouted from behind his head mimicking a third pair of rays. Even stranger, the snakes were tying a blindfold that covered the model’s sight completely, and it didn’t seem to care.
They tilted their head as they looked at the door, not having realized there was a door to begin with. They narrowed their eyes as they made themselves invisible, not wanting to catch whomever that was’ attention— granted the cold air around them wouldn’t help them much but they could try
They watched the door open, and saw the animatronic within. They relaxed significantly at seeing it was a Solar, and grew curious at seeing all the snakes around his head. They approached slightly, mesmerized by this really cool looking bot
(for purposes aka my brain refuses to let me sleep abt it, Eclipse’s eyes will forever be green now bc I associate that color with him, it’s actually his favorite in this au)
The snakes that were tying the blindfold, abandoned all attempts when they felt the chill in the air against their already cold scales, letting the thick fabric fall to the floor.
Tourmaline green optics flicked up to look around the room instinctively, before recoiling in realization that they could have had to hide another statue. Luckily, there was no one they could see in the room. Though, their piercing gaze seemed to focus on a certain point of the small hallway. They had a uncanny feeling of another gaze locking with their own, and their snakes seemed to agree.
The snakes begun to coil up, ready to lunge incase of something approaching, despite them not ever needing this defense nor it being too affective due to them being stuck to Eclipse’s head. Laurens, one of his youngest corals also named by Vega, was quite energetic in its threat display. Using the secondary ray it was connected to shake quite violently.
All they did was stare at the other and their snakes.
They tilted their head at seeing the bot had green eyes, though it took them a second or more to realize the solar model had turned to look at them. They turned around to see if there was something behind themselves but saw nothing of interest.
Only once they had turned back and seen the agitation the snakes displayed did they realize their presence was probably being felt by the other. They backed up, coldness receding alongside them, though part of them wanted to reach out to pet one of the snakes
When the chill in the air recedes, the coral snakes slowly calm their display. The strange gaze slowly followed seemingly empty spot, unlike others, Eclipse does not have eye contact everyday. Infact, it is quite rare. When they do, they notice a change. Eyes are not the windows to the soul, but they are certainly a weak point within the surrounding walls to protect it from creatures such as them. Even though they do not know what is looking at them, they know for certain something is. The knowledge that whatever this is can safely look at their optics without turning into some sort of mineral is disturbing, yet intriguing.
The snakes nudging their rays gently tell them that this thing occupying the room with them has full sight, impressive. As they received this knowledge from their snakes, they became much more aware of what is in the room from the familiar feeling of instinctive calculating. Though, they do not know what nor how, they are standing only a few feet away from a Bloodmoon of some origin.
They watched as the snakes calmed down, shooting a few direct glances at the Solar when they seemingly kept staring at where they were. They may have waved awkwardly at them, or the snakes, or both
Turning away, the twins looked around the place, realizing they were in a hallway, and floating around to see if they could figure out where they might be. They wondered idly if everyone was part animal in this dimension, since the green-eyed Solar had snakes as rays. They looked like that one Greek character who turns people to stone!
They paused, pondering on those thoughts. Then shook their head and continued to poke around
A snake flicked its tongue before its pointed head turns to the door behind Cinder. Just as it did so, a large moon model with mixes of navy and deep purple with rose pink accessories accenting the sharp features walked in along with a shorter than average theatre model with a Hamilton sweatshirt and red and blue plaid pants that hung loose around their old fashioned black slip on dress shoes. Though the voice that could be first made out was quite obviously a Ruin, there was a unfamiliar warp to it.
“Well yes dear, they are not alive but show most signs of life-“ ”Do not dear me, Ruin. And if what you told me of this ‘Rot Prince’ is true to lore, than it is-“
The surprisingly raspy voice cut off its manic edged words and its head swiveled to the vague direction of Eclipse. Both animatronics walked in with a less than confident posture, the large strange one even leaning on the wall the slightest but as if for both support and knowledge. It was much too hard to notice the damaged eye systems due to each having hats trailing over their delicate wires. Vega, having better eyesight that is still not good enough to be turned to stone, saw thin gold streaks that outlined Eclipse’s form standing tense at the other end of the hallway. Their shoes clicked against the wooden floors as they walked over.
“Oh Eclipse dear! I was just trying to explain to Flicker the rot in Rainworld! You know more of it than I do, so may you help me with this explanation?-“
The snakes hissed in warning but neither Eclipse nor the eldest of the coral snakes made an attempt to warn Vega. They thought that the fact that the thing that is in this room is not physical and would be unable to harm Vega. To make sure Vega doesn’t try to back away too quickly and trips and hurts themself, they said nothing of the presence.
They had been turned away from the door when the other bots walked in, and hadn’t given them much of a thought.
That is until they heard him
The temperature dropped sharply. The twins glared holes into the wall as they heard him them and some other voice talk.
And then they heard as he they approached this Solar.
It was instinct at that point. Grabbing something. Throwing it.
But they made a mistake. There was a reason they barely ever turned their right arm physical. A broken wrist will never move the exact way they expect.
They missed, the object —a rock?— hitting the wall instead.
They glared at the Ruin, static-filled growling leaving their voice box, audible only to him them
Vega jumped, but was not as surprised as one would expect. Well, they were likely used to these things back in their home dimension. They took a step backward with a wary smile on their face, as their strange eyes failed to discern any person in the place from where the thing was thrown- was that a rock?..- oh, yes it was… They refrained from looking at it too closely, already recognizing the uncanny sheen of one who used to be living.
- Seconds later, Flicker was already standing defensively by the door, the fog that swept their senses cleared for a few moments but as it did so they only were able to see a bright purple silhouette standing in the middle of the room that was as dark as void. A shrieking hiss caused them to snap back to what seemed to be reality but they were now doubtful.
-
Eclipse’s loud hissing was followed by them lunging to grab Vega and pulling them quite harshly behind him. Vega yelped and stumbled backwards but the crushing grip along their wrist kept them from falling. A few green lines trailed down their face as if their eyes were melting, and their snakes were twisting and twirling in a clear sign of aggravation. If Cinder had been physical, they would have been a statue crushed to pieces in seconds of it’s transformation. It’s ironic they through a piece of one who actually met that specific fate.
They kept their gaze on the Ruin, approaching slowly while the temperature around them kept dropping.
It was only because Eclipse pulled the other behind himself that they stopped to think through what they were doing.
They threw an icy glare at the solar model, ignoring their change in appearance, and in an instant were floating to be eye level with him, invisibility dropping, allowing the other to see them
They too could be heard by them now, mangled static crackling alongside the forceful whispers that was their voice
“really now? you protect one of him? we’d think you would be smarter than fall for the lies of such a mind, step aside”
Sharp, black claws shot out to scrape across Cinder’s face. Flicker was gathering their power, as they did so they were piecing together what was happening. Glowing green eyes stared uncannily, the souls of millions trapped behind the glass of the optics. A bloodcurdling shriek sounded from behind Cinder and if they were to turn they would see two hand-held scythes crossing and aimed directly toward their neck. The sharp purple eyes of Flicker have changed to cloudy, dark spirals zeroed in on their exact location. The cloak that hung around their shoulders slipped away from covering their whole body and a perfect view of broken endoskeleton opened like a maw with a deep purple patch filling in where the space between the jaws would be.
The claws passed right by their target, no more damage to the ghost’s faceplate than there originally was, though they did end up backing up, a scowl on their face.
Half a scarlet gaze met the other’s glowing eyes, though anger fell into intrigue for a second at registering what they were seeing. It took a killer to know another after all
Any more curious thoughts were interrupted by that shrieking, the ghost turning to see whatever the other bot in the room was doing
They tilted their head at the view, finding the choice of weapon odd and the moon model’s state to be interesting, but finding nothing more but annoyance at the other’s effort. Those too would pass straight through them and hurl towards—
Their expression fell, frown dissolving into fear
But not for themselves
“don’t”
Eclipse wrapped an arm around Vega’s waist who glared in return. Eclipse didn’t care for the expression, they are aware Vega can fend for themself easily but they have the better vision here. They surged to the side just as Flicker hit the floor with an audible crack and thud of wood in front of where they used to stand, the scythes it held shaking from the crushing grip the moon model had on them.
The cloak swished across the ground as they spun to face to the ghost-like being. Their smoky purple eyes had settled back into the abyssal black they are, and the height difference revealed a deep purple fog seeping just from under their cloak. The color of the cape seemed to move, four other pairs of eyes shifted, all staring at Cinder in dark intrigue. They disappeared within the same second they appeared, and no one else seemed to notice other than Vega, who said nothing.
