for your question, if we go with canon, then iirc, he killed for the heck of it. for funsies, if you will. as a treat - love that for him. he also be killing cuz them kids be annoying him (so real of him), bragging about it after too. he was a real psycho back when he was younger - and god, what i wouldn't give to see more of that han seok than just a short glimpse of him admiring the watch he took off his victim (the fact he didn't take the watch off of the guy he killed in the container scene was suuuuuuuuuch a miss ugh 😤; let us see that young han seok is still there, that han seok never changed from his youth!!!!).

this is actually a very interesting question! at first i thought you meant role switch like sibling role, ie. han seo being older and han seok the younger one. i think that could be very interesting too because personally i think han seo, the way he was portrayed in canon, could fit very well as an older brother, and likewise, han seok has that youthfulness, that insolence to him that you'd find in a younger kid. besides, the dynamic would be so fucked with han seok manipulating and controlling his big brother, don't you think? it's absolutely delicious hehe

ough i'm probably the worst person to ask this question cuz it's been a minute since i think about school 😂 personally, i don't think han seok would've aced every subject. he's a nerd for sure - although i guess a geek would be more the right word - but he passes through school on average, skimming the top at best but never the top - he's not bothered with that. he probably thinks the whole education system is beneath him. he'd probably be too busy with being up in han seo's business to study much anyways 😂 for han seo, my personal hc is for him to being into the arts more. arts and crafts and stuff. things he can work with his hands - i think he'd enjoy and even excell at those actually. i think he's a fast learner too, so he may get good at anything if he just puts a little effort in, maybe having someone there to guide him on the right path.

they'd both be into sports, that's for sure. i'm always jumping back and forth as to how han seo got into hockey. whether he got into it first then han seok, or han seok first and he forced han seo to join. i love the idea of han seo being better than han seok too, which han seok wouldn't like very much haha. god, i wish we got to see more of them on the rink, esp with kdy's background in hockey ;;

oh, brother (gender neutral), i've got AUs upon AUs for these guys haha. i've been in the jangrbos trenches for nearly a year now, i can't even begin to tell you all the AUs i've come up for them. i can't remember most of them cuz i just have so many now 😂 i'll follow your example for now, which yes i've come up with and thought about so much in the past. the first one is interesting! though tbh i do like the idea of them having met as children but then got separated for some reasons and then later meet again as adults much more. a friend in the fandom and i used to talk about it a lot haha - called it the Seperation AU (not very creative ik 🙈). there are so many versions of it too, changing depending on how/when they were seperated and how/when they meet again as adults. i've got two versions i'm writing right now and if all goes well then those will be the next fics i'll posted haha

and i most definitely think people thought jun woo was han seo's secret lover because the guy just became partner overnight, which came from han seo's order haha. imagine han seok getting it in his head that they shoul start a fake relationship too, after he heard the rumors. it woul make scheming so much easier since people would stop questioning why he's always with the CEO of babel haha. han seok getting too into it, wanting to make it look real while han seo's just bewildered at how han seok doesn't seem at all disturbed at the idea of being in a relationship with his brother 😂

for post-canon, han seo and han seok are always alive to me. that ending never happened at all because it fucking sucked, end of story 🙈 also given the chance i'd kill vincenzo a hundred times over so he's always dead in my AUs if he even appears in them at all 😂 or well, sometimes he's there for comedic purpose or to further the plot like so many characters were used in the show to further his developement - i am very bitter about vincenzo, yes, why do you ask? anyways, i think han seok would start appreciate han seo's meaning in his life more. takes nothing less than a near-death experience for him to start seeing the good things in life, eh? that's just me being fluffy though. i've seen so many angsty and torture filled post-canon AUs out there so here's a little something to contrast that ig haha

if han seo never betrayed han seok, i don't think much would've happened in their relationship, actually. vincenzo, as suckass as he was, really was the catalyst for change, for han seo to react further. i'm sure he's tried to run/fight back in the back - can't think of his bratty ass always being obedient - and vincenzo is the thing that really made him think he could win this time around. idk, that's just my thought.

now this is a fun question haha. personally I don't care much for cha young x han seok, but I won't judge the people who do ship them - that's their business and as long as they stay in their lane, I'll stay in mine. I'm sorry to hear the ship gives you a genuine ick - ik exactly how that feels, though for a different ship in a different fandom haha. ig the best thing you can do is just avoid them, block their tags and the people who post about them. out of sight, out of mind, yanno?

personally, i think they CAN make for a very interesting pair, they're both ruthless in their pursuit of their goals; they're both hardheaded alpha-type. that can be interesting to explore. what turns me away from them is how they're both treated in canon. cha young doing a 180 after her father died, and don't even get me started on how badly han seok's characterization was treated in the second half of the show. god, not the mention, the way cha young gets sidelined/benched a lot in favor of the showrunners' favorite boi vincenzo ;;

canon treated them both so badly that whatever romantic interest between them felt superficial. han seok was literally playing a character being an intern - who knows if his "crush" on her was real at all. she did not care for his intern ass lmao. there was no hot and cold, no push and pull between them, which is why that line he said showing his interest in her in the last episodes, during the kidnap, felt super out of place. nothing before that point really supported it. it's so hard to believe han seok had actual romantic interest in her - pure interest i can see, though, she was ruthless, corrupted just like him so maybe he felt kinship there, but romance? nah.

but again, if anyone wants to imagine something romantic between them, that's cool! good for them! they're doing more work than canon ever cared to 😂

ohh i do have a few hcs of them myself. idk about the kind of music they'd listen to, though, cuz i have the worst taste in music myself 😂 i do think they'd have very different taste, although han seo will say he likes anything/everything hyungnim does just to appease han seok. one hc i do have about their taste is in movies. this is one i created with a friend i used to talk to. basically it's just han seo not really into action movies. they put him to sleep - literally. whenever han seok puts one on for their brotherly bonding session or whatever, han seo falls right sleep before the intro's even done. han seok would tease him about it so much; sometimes even get annoyed because han seok really wanted han seo to see the movie for whatever reason (he'd be the kind to be into big blockbuster hits, that fucking nerd, quoting lord of the rings and shit). this could be cute too - imagine han seok seeing han seo all tired, and wanting him to rest without actually telling him to rest (that'd be too sentimental, and han seok is NOT that!), he'd just put on some random action movie and han seo would be out like a light.

another hc of mine (which, really is just an observation) is how han seok only being affectionate to han seo whenever han seo isn't looking/isn't aware of it. if he's been more clear about how much han seo meant to him, perhaps han seo would never have turned on him 🥲regarding their clothing style... hmmm, we know from canon han seok got that business casual with the hoodies going on. he'd be the kind to love designer stuff, but just the most gaudy designs he could find - aka that versace bathrobe of his, so iconic haha. han seo, i think would go for more looser clothes whenever he could. the moment he could get out of the high-collared and tight suits (very nice symbolism for the hold han seok had on him; say what you will about vincenzo, the set and costume design went off), he immediately would and instead put on some soft t-shirt, maybe a nice hoodie. i love him with his glasses on, in that cute cardigan in their father's death scene. i wish we could see more of that han seo ;;

another hc i have which i hold very dear to my heart, you could pry it from my cold dead hands is han seo being really cold always and han seok being super hot in contrast. at first i just thought it'd be interesting that the cold-blooded one runs hot while the other is cold. and really, han seo/kdy is so fucking pale it isn't hard to imagine he got some bad blood circulation going on in there haha. i also just like to imagine han seo burrowing in han seok's large hoodies. han seo cuddling close to han seok for warmth. han seok going to han seo on a hot day, making him his personal walking ice pack.

my thoughts on jangbros' childhood really depends on my mood 🙈 you're right that the show did them no justice at all - and a part of me is disappointed that two integral characters were left so underdeveloped; another part of me is actually delighted that that's the case since that means my ass can just jump in and fill the gaps as i please hehe MY canon now.

personally, i like to play around a lot with how they met, when they met, and how that would affect their dynamic/relationship. this is something you'd get to see in my next fics which, hopefully will be finished soon - i won't spoil anything now hehe 😉

if you want to stick close to canon, though. i like that they first met on a hunting trip. han seok said the gun scared him, which is most definitely a lie, though i like to think that he pretended to be scared for han seo's sake - a way to show, 'hey, we're so alike, right? you got nothing to be afraid of me for 🤓' han seo didn't know at all what was about to hit him rip. another thing that i also cling onto from canon is han seo's drug abuse. i wish they'd developed on it more than just a throwaway line and those callous reactions from cha young and vincenzo ;; i would've loved to know how he broke away from it - if he ever did at all. my personal hc is han seok's got him sober, mainly because he'd be the kind to think drug use is dirty, beneath them - ironic since he's making drugs that'd get people addicted smh - and well, how would han seo feels anything han seok does to him if he's doped out of his mind?

ahh but that's too far from their childhood now. another thing i'd love to know is the kids han seok murdered in his youth. was there another reasons beyond him not liking the look of them? my shipper brain has some ideas haha, perhaps they showed too much interest in han seo, or any interest at all. maybe han seo showed interest in them so han seok had to cut it right off at the bud, showed han seo that there could only one person han seo was allowed to look at. yandere!han seok, my beloved haha

i also like to think about han seok patching han seo up from the wounds he himself caught. them in the bathroom of their massive villa, han seo sitting on the sink and trying not to flinch at how rough hyungnim is being with his wounds. the same hands that hurt him now working to fix him up. the push and pull that han seo kept han seo coming back no matter how much han seok has hurt him. i think han seo would learn better as he grew up but still, his child's mind could only see how kind his hyungnim is being, makes him forget all the hurt.

there's also that period of time where han seok was in the US and han seo's all alone in Korea. did they keep contact? han seok has shown han seok with so little monitoring on han seo - which i thought was so bizarre considering han seo's han seok's fall guy. i like to imagine han seok as so clingy, the kind to text every day and micromanage han seo's every decision even with an ocean away from them. he had to have away to keep himself in his dongsaeng's psyche; so he wouldn't forget him. but if they didn't keep contact, then what would han seo be like during those years? would he have grown out of the abuse han seok inflicted on him? i like to think that he did - han seo grew up to be such a brat, rolling his eyes and making devil horns behind han seok's back; so maybe he just grew to be a little less afraid of han seok in those years apart than he would've had they stayed together.
