Just found out that john lennon uses the guitar riff from wing’s ‘let me roll it’ on ‘beef jerky’. Which means that john listened to let me roll it, a song that was infamous for sounding like a John pastiche during a time when things were becoming better publicly between john&paul (they even had a recording session together earlier that march for harry nilsson’s pussycat) litened to the lyrics “You gave me something, I understand, you gave me loving in the palm of my hand, I can't tell you how I feel, my heart is like a wheel, let me roll it” and “I want to tell you, and now's the time. I want to tell you that you're going to be mine” nodded and said yeah I’ll take the riff from this exact song that people think is inspired by my music, (so paul definitely had john in mind writing and recording it, because he later did admit that let me roll it is a john style song), and thought yeah I’ll allude to this song in the track that’s meant to be like a breath of fresh air on my new album
