To my followers, whenever you get a dumbass like the one above invading one of your posts and saying this very stupid thing, ask them to explain to everyone what Cloud’s reply “Do I get a say in all this” is even about if it’s not a love confession? 

Either Cloud is saying “do I get a say in all of this” to Aerith’s “you cant fall in love with me” line or he’s saying it to the “its not real” comment--either way, Cloud is telling Aerith that he is choosing to love her and that his feelings ARE real, contrary to what she believes. 

Pick your poison. 

Clotis keep focusing on what Aerith says, and not what Cloud says in response (shocker, they always ignore Cloud’s feelings). It’s HIS comment that makes this a mutual love confession. 

Aerith point-blank tells Cloud to not fall in love with her, and he does not deny that he has feelings for her, he does not act like she’s wrong about her assumption--instead, he turns away with a heartbroken look of “I’ve been caught” mixed with “great, she doesn’t feel the same”... Until she touches him, which his face changes from sad to one of relief and happiness.

Cloud very clearly is expecting some kind of verbal or physical show that she feels the same way as he does as soon as she touches his face. But when she says “it’s not real” and pulls her hand away, what does Cloud do?

He reaches out to hold her hand, to keep her from leaving. Why? Because his first instinct was to prove to her that he does in fact, very genuinely, love her. There’s no other explanation at all for why Cloud chose to reach for her hand/hold her in place if not because he was going to prove her statement (i.e., ”it’s not real”) was wrong. Which is why Cloud makes a “tsk” sound and clenches his fist. He’s MAD that she’s denying his feelings, he’s mad that he can’t hold her. He’s all-around mad that Aerith is just being so stubborn. 

But he doesn’t waver no matter how hard Aerith is trying to push him away. 

Aerith knows what Cloud just said and what he was meaning with his words--that’s why she looks back with a surprised/happy look when he says “I’m coming for you”.

Cloud just told Aerith to let him love her, to let him decide if his feelings are real, and then declared to bring her back to HIS side. It’s a love confession, lol.

Also, guys.

Aerith’s comment: “it’s not real”, has nothing to do with what that idiot is implying (i.e., that Aerith is alleging Cloud’s love isn’t genuinely his own). Nojima already explained in the FF7R Ultimania that this line “But whatever happens, you can’t fall in love with me. Even if you think you have, it’ s not real” is about “what happens to her in FF7”--i.e, HER DEATH.

Interviewer: Especially during the conversation with Cloud in the flower field during chapter 14, the line “But… but you can’t fall in love with me. If that happens, it’s imaginary/it’s in your head.” That line is quite depressing/sad for those that know of the original story.

Nojima: To be honest, those lines were opposed by several staff members. Some members of the staff worried it would make Aerith look “arrogant and condescending” . But if you know what happened to Aerith later in the story, you will understand what she means immediately, but if you don’t know then you’ll get a completely different interpretation. Those different perspectives made it really interesting.”

And please Ichihime will never be the same as Naruhina. Let’s face it Naruhina’s development in the MANGA=canon was close to zero. None. It was supposed to be Sakura.

Not because Sasuke was a bad choice for Sakura though. He proved to be a caring and kind person who was corrupted by darkness and eventually broke free of that curse of hatred he had. You know, a good guy.

What the heck has happened to the fandom? I don’t even know but is NOT okay. If I had known it would be like this….if anyone who founded the NaruSaku communities knew it would be like this….Well anyway. How about this? Newsflash you can defend and support NaruSaku without bringing Sasuke and SS down at every turn. Did you know that? I don’t think ANYONE who posts in the narusaku tag knows that. You can ship NaruSaku without insulting Hinata too. I know MIND BLOWN right. I am getting really mean and OOC now but really just WHAT. IS. WRONG. WITH. THIS. FANDOM???

Please just, ship whatever you want but I am not proud to know this is a fandom I am actually part of. ANYWAY let’s talk about how SS is a flawed relationship involving a traumatised dude with mental problems he eventually deals with (which it is) somehow equals Sasuke doesn’t love Sakura and the relationship is doomed to be terrible? Really, why is everyone pointing to the kid whose whole clan was slaughtered in front of him and going “He doesn’t love Sakura!!!” Of course he was pushing away love. You would too if everything you love was slaughtered.

Why is everyone pointing at the teenager who realized that going after his brother was a mistake and the reason his clan was slaughtered was corrupt officials to the point he goes crazy and further down the path of darkness and seriously going “He is toxic and abusive!!!”

Of friggin course he’d be violent and a jerk when he is corrupted by darkness and manipulated by a twisted villain, that is what characters corrupted by darkness do! Right? Right???

So of course at this time Sakura could not get through to Sasuke. At that time when he is basically choosing the side if evil I agree he was a HORRIBLE boyfriend choice right? . But we are also reminded constantly by Naruto, Itachi, Suigetsu, Karin, Sakura even Orochimaru that deep down Sasuke is a KIND and purehearted person. We are reminded of the Uchiha curse by Tobirama that shows Uchiha go crazy when they lose what they love. Seven year old Sasuke lost his whole family. WHAT was anyone expecting honestly???

But you know at the end of the manga he goes on a journey of redemption and dedicates his life to defending the very village he wanted to destroy? The part where he stopped seeking revenge and darkness and soul searched until he was his kind self again? Did anyone miss that kind of obvious clue that he has changed for the better and able to accept love and give love?

Apparently.

Look, I like NaruSaku, I preferred it for a good part of the manga because Naruto and Sakura have a great dynamic. But this idea that Sasuke never loved her back is based off his obvious not ready to love anyone self, which he left behind. Sakura was hurt by revenge seeking darkness seeking corrupted and traumatized Sasuke yes. That is kind of what happens when you love someone whose goal is revenge. But Sakura loyally and selflessly loved him. NaruSaku fans are Sakura fans right? Respect her selfless choice.

Sakura has shown to be amazingly strong and capable of loyalty and kindness a lot of others wouldn’t have in her situation. This is not a bad thing. And Sasuke in all his darkness eventually realizes all he does is push away and hurt her and he APOLOGIZES and does a 180. So he is not intent on still hurting her. This is development too.

I love NaruSaku as a pairing. But Kishimoto clearly never made Sakura give up on Sasuke and in the end she obviously got through to him.

That is the story Kishimoto went with. Trying to bash Sasuke is stupid. He is just as deserving of love as anyone, and regaining his ability to love that was kind of the point of his story.

another way to defend NaruSaku instead of ignoring the obvious development Sasuke went through that lead him to Sakura. I can do it and I always do it, but am I the ONLY NS fan who can compliment NS and talk about their bond while still respecting Kishimoto, the canon and Sasuke as a character??? Seems like it. I didn’t even LIKE him for a long time and I see it. You can talk about NaruSaku without bashing SasuSaku’s bond. Like maybe how Sakura and Naruto grew stronger together and Naruto has shown he puts her happiness first, or something. How Sakura even loving Sasuke still is willing to protect Naruto and doesn’t want him hurt because of his promise to her? How they are always there for eachother??? Anything along these lines? But why bash Sasuke and his relationship with her to make NaruSaku look better?

I like Sakura and Naruto together. But as in real life sometimes people don’t end up together but still have an amazing bond.

In real life do you bash the other person your friend ends up with after a failed relationship with someone else and comment on how there is no love in that new relationship?

Well Sakura and Naruto were good together but she continued to love Sasuke and he respected her wishes. Sasuke was on the verge of going crazy and on a path of darkness but he got out of that and back to his true self. And his true self is what matters. Yet let’s just bash him and his relationship with Sakura because I don’t like them together? That is pretty childish and I have been dissapointed for a while now. It doesn’t get better huh. It’s been 2 years. TWO YEARS come on NS fandom I did not expect this BS from you.

Orihime and Hinata’s love for Ichigo and Naruto are the same they were portrayed that wau but you can see in Ichihime that from the start that they “might” end up together because of the hints and now you can see they did end up together. Kubo build up their relationship and that’s what Narujina didn’t have. It was just there in the end staring at the readers it’s fact that Hinata loved Naruto but in Naruto’s case they sadly needed a movie to actually show his love to Hinata.
