How did Blot end up being the Red Bands' hostage?
What's it like for him being a hostage?

Regardless before the Red Bands, Blot had stayed behind to make sure Yatta was fine. Looey already seemed set on heading out and he assured the two it would be fine, he’d bring back supplies every now and then and keep in touch. Eventually Looey stopped showing up and Blot decided to head out to find him. He had heard of what the area around Looey’s home had looked like he just had no idea how to get there and wandered too close to a different land claim, the Red Bands.
They were on a high at the time, recently claimed a new huge chunk of land as their own and decided to take even more. It was easy to lure Blot to their base on a false promise they’d make sure Looey was okay and they’d bring him to him soon enough. They did fulfill the first part but never released Blot to go see his friend.
Blot was at the bottom of the “ranking system” alongside Astro who was newly overthrown from power. It’s miserable, they don’t get a ton of food and have to do the dirty work of the group. Blot often had to get information out of the others when Connie was unable to retrieve a specific answer. She tagged alongside him invisible so he wouldn’t be able to escape. Scraps was also right behind him incase he did bail. Blot also had to do physical work such as repairs and tool sharpening around the camp but the only good thing to all this? He was always looking out after Toodles when the others had to leave. He became a babysitter almost and it reminded him a lot about Blot Jr… he struck up a deal with the Red Bands and they were kind enough to go with him to retrieve Blot Jr back in Gardenview (who Yatta was caring for) and bring him back.
