Not me almost crying here thinking about kid albert vanderboom
Now sure, Albert was probably already showing signs socipathy bc the moment Albert was pushed against the tree by emma after a shoving match, he was wishing death on his siblings, which is definitely not normal but at the same time he is just a kid with untreated and early developing sociopathy in the edwaridan era.
But I think the thing that made him straight up snap is the beehive incident.
Now these section is mostly speculations and headcanons.
But I definitely feel that Albert went through HELL after getting a huge ass wound in his head and face, and I talked to my mom (she is a doctor) and I asked how long it would have taken his wound to heall FULLY, she told me around 6 months.
Thats half a year of this kid waiting for his scar to heal, and since its the edwardian era, who knows what could have happened during those 6 moths, it could have gotten infected, maybe reopen new scar tissue, etc.
Also during those 6 moths his inmune system would probably become weaker, more prone to sickness.
Also would not be surprised at all if Albert's scar made him become even MORE self aware of his appearence, I mean, he probably already felt weird and uncomfortable with his birthmark.
Even if Emma and Sam did not do it on purpose and did not want to hurt albert's feelings they definetly felt uncomfortable when they saw Albert's new scar, which probably made Albert feel worse.
I HC that during his teenage years he got into his whole mask collection thing, originally using them to hide his scar and birthmark, but over time, he slowly started to care less and got more focused on ruining his own family.
He also has a phantom of the opera type mask, but when he puts it on, its specifically on his non-scarred side, it could be an oversight from the game but I have seen interpretations that explained that albert bo longer cared to show his "good side" to his family, my guy was bitter and jealous and no longer cared what they thought of him, he just wanted to torture his family.
Idk why but as someone who has a lot of scars from accidents and surgeries, and has a deformed, fat right leg in comparison to my average weight body, I feel horrible for kid albert. I just know if Albert went to school or public spaces he would be treated horribly.
Btw this does not mean I condone or justify ANY of Alberts actions during his adulthood. He is a monster. I rlly hope he gets a taste of his medicine after his revival.
