I have been inquired about what mods I use!
so currently I’m trying to work out which ones run best together and I’m making sure if there's a better alternative that I find it. For example the morph mod I use lets you change into multiple creatures, only if you kill them. The other you only need to scan it, but can only become one animal. Which deepnding on your pref in gameplay may be okay with you! But lets say your desired mob is hostile or in another biome, you'll likely have to use the cheat codes or go into creative before you start.
But as of the moment i'm using:
ReMorphed by ToCraft: Requires Woodwalkers, but brings back the killing aspect where if you kill the mob you can become it at any moment.
Woodwalkers by ToCraft: Allows you to become a mob by scanning it rather than killing it. However you are stuck changing into this one mob unless overused by commands.
Warrior Cats Events by Klyonstar: This adds clans, territories, cat models, pouncing, thirst system when shifted, and herbs to the game!
It is very cat themed though and it’ll ask you to make a cat when you join, but it won’t force you to be one unless you scan a non cat mob first i believe.
The herb and territory system I find adds fun realism to it! And rather than waystones you can see where you’ve been by marking territory. I will be looking for a mod that adds a similar territory system then I’ll likely remove this one since others mods can add herbs!
Biomes O’ Plenty by Forstride: Adds MANY biomes with unique flowers, trees, and more!
Plonk by BlueAgent: Allows you to place any item on the ground! I think it’s adds to the immersion of being an animal, even if you’re building its nice to just have a BIG hoard of eggs or bones or berries in the ground
Naturalist by crispytwig: Adds 24 new animals to the game with unique drops and mechanics
Alex’s Mobs by sbom_xela: Adds 85+ new mobs to the game! Note it adds new enemies as well! (This one is really cool guys, it’s got like mantis shrimp and maned wolves and orcas)
Critters n’ Crawlers by Far_stricken_fool: Adds North American animals and myths like elk, cougars, wolverines, black bears, and more!
Farmer’s Delight by vectorwing: New cooking system and expanded farming! There’s LOTS of other add on mods you can find for this one, like Ocean’s Delight which adds ocean recipes (in case you decide to live in the sea ;) )
Ground Sleep by landrex: lets you sleep on the ground but you wake up pretty hungry to even out the system! having some issues with this one right now so I’m figuring out if it’s key binds or the mod
I encourage you to find an animal mod that adds your species if none of these have it! things like unicorns, dragons, etc. have mods too!
I added the Critters n' Creatures just so I could have the wolverine morph but that comes with elk, cougars, rattlesnakes, etc! Will keep updated if I find better alternatives since even if I love Warriors, i don't like being greeted with the cat menu and "make a cat" screen everytime. If you're a feline friend yourself? USE IT. omg it has its own create your own skin system and everything
