I've said it before but I do find it hilarious how bad of an EVA suit the ones on the hail mary are. the helmet that connects only to the breastplate, which doesn't seal to the suit at all and therefore cannot contain oxygen, carbon dioxide, pressure, or temperature, and anyone wearing it would die upon being exposed to outer space. the total lack of a sun visor so grace is simply blasted in the face with all of tau ceti every time he looks in its vague direction. the helmet that isn't connected to the suit properly. the back piece that isn't nearly big enough to contain the machinery and equipment needed to keep an EVA suit functional for multiple hours at a time if at all. the helmet that can't contain an atmosphere on its own. it's pretty typical for EVA suits in science fiction to be very scientifically and mechanically inaccurate to reality but oh my gosh. did I mention the helmet doesn't seal to the suit at all?

it bothers me when someone brings up misogyny in shounen anime and people shrug it off with "its designed for teenage boys, what can you expect." like well. idk i think its actually pretty important that shows for teenage boys are normal about women. i mean i think all media should be normal about women but teenagers are impressionable i think we could put a little bit of feminism in the teenage boy shows. it might do some good. you never know.
