IF  CAN   TELL  ANYONE  ,   he   can   tell  nyota  .   it  is  normal   for  spock  to  retreat  inside  himself   &  not   the  pain  rule   his   head   ,   but  this  time  it  happens   in  sleep  .  it  is  unavoidable   now   .    logically  he  should   bring  it  up   to  doctor  mccoy   ,  let  him   solve  the  problem   —  but   spock   can’t   not when things are the way they are  .  the  other  option  is  confront  jim   ,   since  these  nightmares  are  about  him  .    but   again  he  can’t   ,   jim  is  still recovering   it  would  be  selfish  of   him .      nyota  ,     she  he   can  tell .  she  has  always  understood  him   ,   but  then  anyone  else  a side  from  his  mother   ,   she  can  help .     ❛     i  am  not   resting  well      ❜       he  can’t  bring  himself   look  at  her   .

Nyota patiently waited, she knew it wasn’t always easy for him to speak what was on his mind, especially if something was bothering him. All thoughts of her own fatigue had been forgotten as she finds herself only filled with worry for her best friend. She had always been more than willing to listen to him whenever he really needed it if she was entirely honest she wished that he would open up a bit more. Nyota knew better than anyone that bottling up one’s feelings never ended well.

A  SATISFIED  GRIN  FOUND  HOME  ON  HIS  LIPS  as  he  swooped  nyota  up  closer  to  him. this  was  one  command  that  jim  had  no  problem  obeying,  especially  as  it  was  exceedingly  rare  that  he  was  given  an  opportunity  for  a  lie-in,  even  more  so  that  they  both  had  the  time  off  to  do  so  at  the  same  time.  “  not  even  a  red  alert  would  make  me  want  to  go  anytime  soon. ”

Nyota couldn’t help the giggle that had escaped when he moved her closer to him. She was honestly glad that she didn’t have to make any compelling arguments as to why he should stay in bed. Her grip tightened around him as she wiggled up so she could properly kiss his lips. “Good because I have no intention of letting you go anywhere any time soon.”

THE  BASE  THUMPED  LOW  AND  HARD .  the  fabric  of  his  shirt  clung  impossibly  tight .  what  little  ripples  there  were  vibrated  with  the  pulse  of  the  music .  azure  hues  glowed  impossibly  in  the  darkness ,  strobe  lights  and  glow  sticks  illuminating  the  underground .  the  air  reeked  of  sex  and  sweat ,  bodies  on  top  of  bodies .  humans  on  humans ,  humans  on  aliens ,  aliens  on  aliens …  the  atmosphere  was  intoxicating .  alluring ,  drawing  all  who  danced  into  a  sort  of  mating  haze .

opposite  jim  was  the  african  bueaty .  lips  parted  as  he  stared  at  nyota  intently .  orbs  tracked  her  movements  as  she  let  the  music  take  her .  jim  did  the  same .  they  were  so  impossibly  close ,  but  still  had  yet  to  touch .  one  only  had  to  look  down  at  the  dark  denim  of  his  pants  to  realize  what  the  night  was  doing  to  him .  if  the  look  nyota  was  giving  jim  was  anything  to  go  by ,  she  was  feeling  it  too .

There was just something about a loud and thunderous base that was so intoxicating to Nyota. Most people would assume that she was a bookworm, one who wouldn’t be caught dead in a club like this dancing with a man like Jim and yet there she was. Finals were over and she was finally able to let loose, and she had every intention of doing just that. She had long since lost count of how many drinks she had, deciding that for once she was going to truly and fully cut loose.

Nyota danced along to the beat of the music, dancing incredibly close to Jim without ever actually touching him. She, of course, had noticed just how much he was enjoying the night, but if she was entirely honest, she was in a very similar boat. The harder stuff always did make her frisky. Enough was enough, and she found herself in closer, closing all the space between them, pressing their bodies together as they danced.

IT  WAS  TRUE,  jim  was  infamously  terrible  patient  on  the  best  of  days.  these  last  few  months  had  been  a  test  of  patience  for  him  &  those  around  him.  he  was  ashamed  a  bit  to  admit  that  he  had  been  pretty  shitty  at  times  towards  bones  &  others  out  of  frustration  over  his  circumstances.  he  hadn’t  meant  to  be,  sometimes  his  behaviour  had  felt  like  the  only  this  he  could  control  &  he  had  acted  out  just  to  feel  it.  it  hadn’t  been  fair,  &  every time  he  had  calmed  down,  jim  had  apologised  profusely.  guilt  still  wracked  him,  especially  as  he  knew  he  wasn’t  in  the  clear  yet  &  such  outbursts  were  not  retired  just  yet  for certain.

HE  TOOK  HER  HAND,  squeezing  slightly  as  he  did  affectionately.  his  expression  open,  gratitude  &  emotion  coloured  his  features  as  he  let  her  guide  him  into  the  seat  next to  him.  putting  his  weight  down  on  the  cane  as  he  did,  still  adjusting  to  moving  on  his  own.  it  so  many  ways  it  felt  more  like  being  reborn  with  a  cheat  sheet  then  being  resurrected.  learning  how  to  do  basic  things  all over  again,  but  with  the knowledge  of  having  done  it  before.  perhaps  that  was  why  it  was  so  aggravating  when  actions  that  were  once  so  easy  felt  like  challenges  now.  “  if  i  could  have  put  up  any  kind  of  fight,  i  might  have  done  the  same  at  times…  but  you  did  more  than  help.   you  kept  me  sane.  you  gave  me…  something  to  keep  trying  for. ”

Nyota smiled softly as he took her hand and squeezed it, she did what she could to keep her arm steady as he moved to sit down. She knew that being stuck in a bed was beginning to drive him insane, in all the time she had known him, she had never known him to stay still any longer than he absolutely had too. She was entirely sure the fact that his body was refusing to do even the basic things as simply as he used to be able to was beyond frustrating. 

“Like being able to put up a fight has ever stopped you.” she teased softly, knowing that she could think of plenty of times that he had gotten himself into fights that he knew he couldn’t win. Nyota tilted her head to the side a bit as she tried to process just exactly what he meant by his words. Sure the two of them had always been particularly close, and she knew now that she loved him far more than she had ever realized. “I’m surprised you aren’t tired of me hovering over you constantly..” she teased softly, She squeezed his hand lightly and offered him a warm smile. “I’m just.. I’m glad you are okay.. I don’t know what..” she found herself pausing and clearing her throat of emotion. 

“I don’t know what I would have done without you around..” she admitted softly, her voice barely above a whisper.

“Ni. Na wewe kuangalia nzuri”  a  warm  smile  graced  jim’s  lips  as  he  lounged  back  against  the  grass .  “ pft , who  needs  to  study ? ”  jim didn’t  really  study .  he  already  knew  a  lot  of  the  stuff .  not  everything  but  enough .  “ you? ”

“ Hunaonekana kuwa mbaya sana mwenyewe .” She honestly couldn’t help but enjoy the fact that she could speak her native language with Jim. It helped to feel the void of being homesick. “I told Galia I would study with her later tonight.” she wasn’t at all surprised to hear that Jim wouldn’t be studying.

So I just spent last night and this morning hard blocking over 89 spam/questionable personal/empty blogs that apparently during my absence on this blog felt the need to follow Nyota and only Nyota. I don’t know what the hell is going on because none of my posts got taken over and are spreading among the personal blog side of tumblr. 

Captain Uhura had been minding her own business, and attempting to go through and sign all of the things that needed her approval. She of course was entirely aware that her shift had ended two hours ago, but she wasn’t tired so she saw no reason she couldn’t continue to push through and get the work done before it started to pile up. However she hadn’t been expecting to be scooped up by her first officer. A soft yelp escaped, dazed for a moment before realizing what had happened.

Hey! So Nyota has been around for a little bit now, and I thought it was about time to do a mains call for her! What you can expect as a main rp partner is that I will come to you with all my new au and plot ideas as well as send you headcanons, gifsets, songs, and general feels about our muses at any given time. Not to mention of course writing up random starters for you from time to time and sending in memes more frequently. 

However I do have a few conditions. To be mains with me you have to be all the things listed below:

We need to be mutuals. 

We need to have talked at least a little bit OOC before, or at the very least have had a few threads together. 

You need to be okay with the fact that I’m an awkward turtle who often times is a large mess. 

You have to be okay with the fact that unless you are an OC then you might not be the only one of that character on my mains list. 

She stood there quietly beside him, not feeling the need to spark up any form of conversation. However there was one question she was curious to the answer to, and the curiosity was eventually enough to break the silence as they waited for the turbolift to take them to their destination.
