Limbo

(i genuinely thought it was february)

A single, white feather drifts to the ground at the doorstep as the stranger grabs the note. They look at it for a moment, before carefully folding it and placing it inside a black bag at their waist. "Hm… I just hope they didn’t encounter that parasite when placing this…" Ink drips from their hands, splashing on the ground. The wind seems to pick up in the trees briefly, before settling to a deadly stillness. The house ahead seems to warp and shift before finally solidifying again, and the stranger hesitantly steps back. "This world isn't stable without it's character..." The sky looks wrong. They feel nauseous. ...Why did you wait so long to visit "There's nothing I can do at this point... He's lost." They begin to feel lightheaded. Stop pretending you're a good person. "Sorry, Cosmic..." The stranger gets up from the grass, dazed, and wipes away the blood that had begun to seep down their forehead, walking off into the distance. Another white feather breaks free to trail them, stained in blood and ink.

(this is that “eagle project” i kept talking about, ik it doesn’t look like much but this was killing me for months)

Here we are again. Did you miss me? ...Forget it. Force of habit. Why did he have to fight back? Why couldn't he have just let things end the easy way...? No matter. It's over now. But... just know I take no pride in winning... This isn't a good ending, no... It isn't for any of us. As for that 'Writer'... he escaped my clutches. It doesn't make a difference, he wasn't who I was after, but... he'll find out eventually. And perhaps he'll kill me. Part of me hopes he does. But either way, your tragedy has come to an end. Perhaps we will meet again, perhaps we will not. Goodbye.

Well, i've decided to archive Cosmic's story. There's a lot of reasons, most of which i've said already, but by far the biggest one recently is just how much better i've been doing now that i've stopped trying to juggle a ton of projects at once. When I started my break, I had just gotten a job, had an Eagle project to focus on (Boy scouting), and had generally some personal stuff going on too. Ever since then though i've been able to focus on the really important stuff and not get overwhelmed, so that's the main reason why i'm archiving it for good. Again, can't thank all of y'all enough for even playing any of my games at all. It means the world, and I'm honestly so surprised and happy that I got even a little bit of interaction in this amazing community. Never interacted much with main cast, I should have done that more, but that's something past me should have done. To anyone who (for some reason) might want to include a reference to Cosmic or whatever in a game, feel free! I don't expect it at all obviously, but just basically saying that he's free now to be used however you want. You could even take his story and adapt it to how you want, though i'd like credit if you did that much (again, doubt it). Yap fest over, ty for reading if you're still here, sorry for not delivering on any of my promises about Cosmic's final event, I just don't think I can create that and still focus on the way more important things in my life at the same time.
