Ollie's Adventures (Ali)

Well today is a happy and sad day for me. I met my forever Mum Joanna and her boyfriend. As soon as I saw then I knew we were going to get along. They have such kind faces and played with me immediately. We are going to have lots of fun together, lots of snuggles and play times and I think they will have lots of friends for me to meet.

I was very sad to leave my foster Mum, and I know she was vey sad too. But I’ll never forget the week we had together. We’ve laughed a lot and learnt to love each other so much. I’m so grateful to her for giving me a comfortable, loving home over the last week. 

We both knew she was my only my foster Mum as she travels too much to give me a full time home, but I will never forget her. We had so many lovely walks, I helped her around the house and made sure she did her ab exercises!!!! 

I’ve been so busy having fun I forgot to write last night!

Yesterday I went to my foster Mums office building to say hi to some of her work friends! It was so good to meet and play with new people.

For the rest of the day I napped and played while Mum worked and we went for a long walk at sunset.

Then before we went home Mum and a friend gave me a yummy bath! I was very good and stayed in the grooming tub until they had got all the soap off my hair. I am so shiny and feel nice and clean now.

We had lots of good snuggles and another good nights sleep.

Today I’ve been helping my foster mum do her work and was a very patient boy when she went out for an hour.

I’m still not sure about the vacuum animal so I stayed close to Mums side as she was making it move. She says it’s a friend and nothing to be scared of and I trust her!

I chased a butterfly on my lunchtime walk, it was yellow and so pretty. I do like chasing butterflies and moths! And I’m a little curious about birds but they are not so much fun to chase.

Tonight we went on a lovely long sunset walk - and I tried hard not to pull too much. I got some treats so I can walk without pulling - sometimes I just get too excited!

I’ve discovered that I really like carrots and apples too! And they don’t hurt my tummy.

Tonight I got a little scared and growled at the door as I thought somebody was outside. Mum said it was just the neighbors upstairs or someone walking to their appartement but it made me a bit nervous. But cuddles from my super foster mum made it all better. I just wanted to protect her.

So snuggles in the sofa did the trick!

I tried to sleep with my foster Mum last night, but once we’d had some snuggles I went back to my couch until it was time to get up.

On my walk this morning I saw a pretty butterfly that I thought would be fun to chase! But I just could not catch it! Then we sent to the little park and I was able to run and play a bit which was lots of fun.

Foster mum had to work again but we did some cleaning with the funny vacuum again - I’m still not sure if it’s a friend or foe so I stayed close to mum most of the time.

I napped while Mum worked and then we went on a lovely long walk as the sun was setting.

I’ve been a good boy today, apart from drinking from mums cup of tea and her glass of fizzy water!! Oops!!! I just wanted to taste them!!

But otherwise I’ve been a good boy and I really tried hard not to pull so much on my leash, especially at lunch time. I did good as I got some treats and extra cuddles!

I’m settling in here quite nicely!!

hello! I had another good night of sleep, we had snuggles on Mums bed and then I went back to ‘my couch’ until she called me this morning.

We went for a nice walk after breakfast, I saw a pretty bird that made me very curious! I wanted to play with the bird, but we didn't have time apparently!!!

I was allowed to sit on balcony with Mum as she ate her breakfast. the balcony is fun, I can watch people! There was a lady with a small human in a stroller that made me very curious. I tried to talk to them, but they did’t talk back, so I used my voice a bit louder. Then Mum told me that making so much noise is not a good thing to do, so I stopped. 

Mum had to work from home today, so I played, played by her feet, chewed on my toys, napped and kept her company. She rewarded me for being so good. with some new toys!

I’m a lucky boy, I got a whole bag of rope toys, the ball and tug ball are my favorites. I also got some special treats for when I'm extra good. So I’m going to try and be extra good a lot!

I was extra good when Mum went out to do her exercise - she left me for an hour and I had a lovely nap. Then we went out for a lovely long walk at sunset. I think my Mum has more energy than me - after 45 mins I was very tired. But I still had energy to play!! Now I’m looking forward to snuggling on the couch again tonight!!! 

This afternoon I helped my foster mum make Banana Bread - I was right by her side making sure she didn’t drop any of the ingredients!! She said it turned out very tasty, but wasn’t good for me so I didn’t get to try it!

Then we went on a long walk at sunset - I was very curious about the cows in the big field! I don’t want to chase them, but I found them very interesting! We did some running together too, that was fun!

I am trying to be a good boy and my foster mum trusted me enough to leave for 20mins whilst she went for a human walk, known as a run! I was happy to see her when she came back - even if she was sweaty!!

Then I joined in her abs session!!!! We both laughed and played a lot.

It’s evening nap time now and snuggles on the couch - my favorite moment!

Good morning! I had such a lovely sleep! Thought I would try sleeping with my foster mum, but decided that I preferred to sleep on my part of the couch. I was a good boy and didn’t wake Mum up until she called me at 7.45am. We had some snuggles then quickly popped outside before having my breakfast.

Some more play and we went back out for a nice long walk - she said we had to go then before it got too hot for me!

On the way back I discovered that I’m frightened of the little Indoor bridge that has glass walls. I don’t know why it scares me, but I refused to cross it. Maybe it’s the glass walls, maybe it’s the dangling decoration things. But either way I couldn’t face crossing it, so she took me another way!

Today I've had a busy day! I arrived at my foster home at lunchtime, and had a good sniff around before playing, napping, playing, walking and some more playing with my foster mum. I discovered stairs are fun to go up and down, I discovered that I'm tall enough to put my nose on the kitchen counter top and almost reach food! But my foster Mum said I'm not supposed to do that, so I'm trying to remember next time I get the urge! I've discovered that the plants with pretty flowers that hang down are called orchids, and aren't snacks.

I have given my foster Mum lots of kisses, and like sitting and lying on her feet so she knows I'm here.

She says I've been a very good boy, she asked me to help her unload the dishwasher (but not to lick inside), she let me help her prepare her dinner and do some laundry.

We went on a lovely long walk just before sunset and then she showed me the dog park right here. We ran a little but I was more interesting in sniffing!

I was invited to a visual dinner party and met Eden and Rosie virtually! But I was napping on and off whilst the humans chatted and laughed.
