i'm looking at what's playing or upcoming at the cinema and they're screening all the hunger games movies including the ballad of songbirds and snakes which reminds me that i started watching it (already having read the wikipedia synopsis out of curiosity) and stopped halfway through and then just never continued because the knowledge of what happens stresses me out. Maybe someday i'll finish that one not sure

it is sweet to imagine that finral is genuinely confused when he finds out that capella is a very lonely person. he's like How can that be?? She's pretty and kind and good at everything she should by all rights be wildly popular. he realizes later that she's liked but not known and he still finds it unfortunate

i feel that after fincaps' reunion one might get the impression that capella is more fond of finral than he is of her because she initiates affection more readily but that's not the case. it's just that finral is unsure around her for a while he loves her so much that he doesn't know how to act or what the right way to be is and he is kind of afraid of well everything about this situation. he's nervous about coming on too strong he's nervous that he doesn't know what she likes nowadays or how she wants to be treated he's nervous that she'll realize he's a loser there's just so many ways this could crash and burn for him and he reallyyyyy doesn't want it to so the easiest thing is to let her take the lead

while writing i have thought about what kind of pet names finral might use for capella and i'm still unsure about it. it could just be my brain's embarrassment-defense barrier stopping me from imagining him being REALLY truly cornball like i know he has the capacity for. i feel like he primarily uses her name but if he's feeling really emotional he might call her his sweetheart. It's tough for him because he's dating his favorite person in the world the most beautiful and amazing and talented girl ever so he gets shy
