“Right - uh...is this your dad’s, then? I’ve seen him around and he seems alright. I’d hate to have to give him a ticket.”

“Exploring? Sounds a bit more like trespassing, from what I’ve heard.”

“Well, I’m not exactly a fashionista or anything. I mean, I wear jeans and plaid most of the time, but…a t-shirt?”

“Okay, that...would probably be the obvious answer. Okay, fine, you win. I agree with you. In the meantime, do you have anywhere I can hide this out?”

“I do not know what that is.”

“It’s like, when you have your smartphone or whatever, and you go around to different landmarks and mark them on your GPS. It’s really good for exploring!”

“It’s not your body. It’s just that the vest is hideous.”

“What would you suggest, then? Like, for real?”

“I’m asking because it’s all that Jamie seems to do these days. And no, I don’t play it. I’m a grown man.”

“But it’s basically geocache, and lots of adults do that.”

“Mirrors exist for a reason. Or does your apartment just not have them?”

“I did - I mean - I don’t know...I’ve been working out really hard just to be able to wear it and I really wanted to, but now...”

“Okay, now I feel like an idiot.”

“No, don’t! We can totally make it, like, a dance party! Everyone can dance!”

“What is this Pokemon game all the youth seem to love? I don’t understand it.”

“It’s awesome! Wait, don’t you have kids, sir? Have you never even tried it?”

“Oh. I know this song.”

“Yes! You go!”

“Oh yeah, y’know, same,” she lied.

“I mean they say it’s more fun with friends, right?”

“Right! Totally. Speaking of, if you wanna meet up and hang out for a little bit, that would be cool.”

“I think I just threw up in my mouth a little bit.”

“That makes two of us - why didn’t anyone tell me how I looked in this before I went out?”

“That’s so good! Planning on going with anyone?”

“Um, nah. Friends probably! I mean, like that. Probably not going with anyone, y’know?”

“Nice! You ready to have some fun, Coop?”

“Hell yeah! It’s like, the one weekend where I don’t feel like a total outcast.”

“I remember my own bleacher seat days, back when I was younger, and the number of beers spilled on me…”
