Kendrick’s 3 major releases are so great and so different from one another that I can’t decide which one is the best. Sometimes I think it’s the first one, but then that’s probably because I haven’t caught up to the other two to understand them as well.

Journalists are literally advancing the argument that they shouldn’t be criticized for how they do journalism. Is there any profession where this notion holds water??? Like seriously, you can disagree with the criticism, think it’s unfair, but where does one get off thinking it is INAPPROPRIATE for people to evaluate the work you are doing. It’s bizarre.

Number 3: I love odd time signatures like this, especially the 7 beat ones. I love the disorientation, the feeling of the ground shifting beneath your feet, combined with their inherent sense of urgency. For me this track could be the  theme song of the times.

And this is the optimistic song on the album. 

Damn. Like anything in the 60s? Cause Ray was doing it in 1958.
