the only people to blame for a terrorist attack are the terrorist themselves. do not allow islamophobia to trickle into your speculation. do not turn the blame towards refugees escaping this violence. do not associate perverted extremism with a community or a religion. do not derail a tragedy to push some other agenda. you can be concerned and compassionate to all the wrong doings in the world without belittling some to promote others. bad shit happens all the time. i’m pretty sure your mind can care and learn about more than one thing. use the hashtags to stay updated and to spread the word. social media has proved once more today that it’s power and potential is awe inspiring. from the students at #Mizzou, to the victims in #Paris or #Baghdad, offer endless solidarity– be it with prayers, with donations, with retweets. any effort is valid, any thought counts. today is a day where we check our privileges and remind each other to love and to love and to love. not afraid!!
