so much of student ai use could be averted if we didnt make students so terrified of doing things badly. theyre so afraid of handing in a shitty essay or that a bad grade will tank their gpa and ruin the rest of their lives it makes me so sad. write badly! high school grades dont really matter and heres a secret, neither do college grades. I know grades are the only way youve been taught to measure your worth for the first like 18-22 years of your life depending on if you go to college, but school is not about the number at the end of it. School is about screwing up and learning what works and what doesn't. its a damn shame more teachers dont emphasize this. Im 30 now and while i dolist my college degree on my resume, after like two or three years out of college, it feels really childish to still have my gpa on it. Idk, maybe its different for a STEM field. But yeah. If youre a student, remember that the grades are the most inconsequetial thing that youre getting out of school. Screw up! do things badly! learn how to do things better! its all part of the process of being human.

Why am I crying?

love the library. there's no risk. you can take out a book and go "wow this sucks" and just give it back. and when you do that you're still making the library's Number Go Up so you'll be able to roll the dice on even more books. all for the low low price of free/you already paid for it with your tax money so you might as well use it
