So recently I made some rose water for Aphrodite :) Well in honor of her this April. So this is my How to and What Rose water is good for etc. Enjoy!!

What is Rose Water?

Rose Water is water with roses infused into it through cooking on the stove, microwave etc. It is technically a type of tea, but has many uses for beauty and health.

How to Make Rose Water:

There are many sources out there on google and on tumblr if you don’t like mine. For the most part I make mine like this:

1 Cup of Water Per every ¾ Cup of Rose Petals

I take roses from the rose bushes outside and rinse them off in water before plucking the petals off. I brew them on medium heat with a lid covering until the color of the roses is drained to a white. Next I strain the water into a empty pot and let the water cool completely before putting them inside a jar and closing them.

Side Effects:

While rare, you may get some side effects from rose water if you digest or use it on your skin, which can include, but may not be limited to(always do a patch test if you plan to use it on your skin) Go to a doctor if you have these symptoms and they worsen after usage as you may have signs of an allergic reaction:

With Medicine:

Fever, tightness in the throat or chest, trouble in talking, swallowing, breathing, wheezing, unusual hoarseness, swelling of the face, mouth, throat, tongue, or lips

In the Kitchen:

Can affect the digestion system and can cause similar issues like when you take medicine

Hair Care:

Can lead to hair damage if it is over used

Skin Care:

Can Cause rashes, hives, itching, peeling skin, swelling to the face/skin
