"X did nothing wrong" actually no, X did a lot of things wrong. X fucked up. But I also know that people like X live their lives under a microscope, and that accusations against them tend to get magnified by bias both conscious and unconscious alike, and frankly it scares the crap out of me that you have not only chosen not to question what you've heard, but that you are seeking such drastically disproportionate vengeance on a total stranger. that's not normal.

this post has generated a staggering number of comments/replies/asks all saying some version of "Nice try laundering your argument, but we all know you're talking about [specific person], and i hate you for defending them." and literally none of them have correctly identified who i was thinking about when I wrote this, but all of them have named a trans woman as said specific person.

had a weird as fuck dream last night where i went to a movie theater potluck and saw the worst sandwich known to humankind. it was bone-in chicken drumsticks (unseasoned), pickles, some kind of Green Sauce that i intuited to be a variant of pesto, and sliced cheddar. served cold. i left that table so disgusted but i was elsewhere offered a tray of thin sliced cucumber and chopped onion and someone else had salt and vinegar so i diy'd a cucumber salad to feel better. brb gonna make a cucumber salad

Sometimes I think I've got bad opinions about tabletop RPGs, and then I run into some fucker in the replies on one of my posts sincerely arguing that having a pronouns slot on your character sheet is "performative" and I'm reminded that everything is relative.

(Weirdly, their reasoning wasn't that it's pandering, but that people who need to be explicitly told that they're allowed to pick any pronouns they want for their character don't play the kinds of games where pronoun fuckery is appropriate in the first place!)

i'm sure people have said it better than me but there's nothing "gay" or "feminine" let alone "feminist" about astrology, there's nothing progressive about believing in magical thinking that assigns you into a category at birth. it's cisgender even, biological determinism.

for real tho it feels exhausting that ive seen this whole "woman should be allowed to abstain from X beauty standard" -> "i perform X beauty standard, am i evil? do you think im evil? please forgive me i came up with a dozen excuses 🥺" since like 2015 (and i know its been going on longer than that) like girl thats not the poiiiiint
