Question for my surgically inclined medblrs... when do you get to the point when it doesn’t feel like your arms want fall off after a full day of retracting?

So my new consultant is a little on the older side... and as they’ve been working in this area for a long time lots of the patients know them or have been treated by them in the past.

Me after discovering one of our patients has nits:

My new registrar: You know they thing I appreciate about you [CS] is your ability to be very organised.

4 weeks into my first ward rotation I’ve only just realised I actually start 8:30AM and not 8:00AM....

“I’m pretty sure Dr. [Consultant] has admitted every patient in the state... oh no... actually wait... he also accepted a patient from [overseas]... so I think we’ve accepted everyone in the South Pacific region.”

If you wanna know how good my brain is on night shift I just called the two bones in the forearm the radius and the tibia.
