I just finished watching Watson, and I NEED there to be a miracle so that I can have a 3rd season. I have to admit that the show grew on me. I was unsure of it at first and thought it was just a House dupe, but it turned into its own show in time. Like, I didn't like Ingrid at all and now I'm rooting for her, and the Crofts are my favorite fellows when I was first hesitant about their characters. I kept watching since it was an easy show to put on, and it hooked me in eventually.
A couple thoughts and opinions (possible spoilers of course):
Had an entire three paragraphs of interconnecting opinions that I think I'll save for a future fic.
I will say that I wish there were more to do with Moriarty, and that Randall Park was an odd choice for me. His character just felt flat.
While I like John x Mary, you gotta let her go and do her own thing at some point, ya know? John was all up in her business the entire time. And when he finally tries to move on, they just end up latching back onto each other at the end? I thought it would have been a better idea to have stayed with Laila. I knew, when I first started watching Watson, that they would more than likely get back together since the show focused on them so much (honestly too much), but I really liked Laila. I thought that bringing her son into the equation had just started to stabilize and further their relationship.
I thought that Stephens x Sasha would have been the greatest thing in season 1, and when they finally got together? Amazing, love that. Good for them. Stephens just bloomed with her, and when he realizes/admits the life that he wants to live, Sasha ends their relationship? Like girl, what are you doing? And with her saying she's been a fool lately and telling Stephens he should be with someone else, what do you think that did to him? I'm sure he'd be a bit understanding, but at the same time, that would ruin him. He's been working on himself so much that this would surely set him back.
The last few episodes were so jam-packed that you can't just end the show there. The characters were just starting to really flesh out this season, too. Despite the show's flaws, it was decently enjoyable and I really would like to see more of it.
