hey guys it’s erin. a lot has happened in my life since i last updated. I’ve been kicked out of my mom’s, been up to visit my sister but couldn’t stay there, and not allowed to stay with my dad so i’m currently staying with my best friend jolee and providing for myself with out a job since i’m still a minor and my mom quit my job and won’t allow me to work. i had to buy myself a flip phone for an emergency contact but my plan is almost up and i have $0.76 combined in my savings and checking account. i’m trying to get back on my feet and make it to school everyday so if anybody could paypal me or venmo me anything at all i would appreciate it so so so much. this past year has been the hardest one ever but i’m away from my family and things are starting to get better but i have a long way to go. anything at all helps❤️.

I wasn’t particularly enthused (Doris Day?!), but holy shit I changed my tune when I realised, not very far in, that this movie was extremely gay.

baby butch “Calam” heads off to “Chicagi”, admiring every pretty woman she passes, then catches one glimpse of high femme Katie and her jaw hits the floor as she openly ogles and then murmurs, awed: “never known a woman could look like that!” 

and that’s just the start!

and when I started exclaiming “this is a gay movie! this movie is gay! this is a very gay movie about lesbians falling in love and being gay!!!” my terribly straight friend was all “oh - do you think? I never saw that in it before!”

this movie literally has two women shacking up together and singing to each other about “a woman’s touch” and how “the magic of Aladdin couldn’t do as much” for fuck’s sake! how could it be seen as anything other than GAY GAY GAY??? 

“but Calamity is jealous of Katie and at the end she marries Wild Bill Hickok!”

ah, no, Calamity is threatened by all the attention men shower on Katie because she’s in love with her! also it was even harder to be gay in the 1800s and lots of women broke their girlfriends’ hearts by marrying men because it was safe!!! and it looked like Katie was gonna do just that! and Calam was devastated! destroyed! despondent!

except then Bill came up with the most wonderful solution for Calam and Katie to live in love for the rest of their lives and that supposed straight double wedding at the end was just a cover for Calam and Katie’s very lesbian wedding to each other and both women are grateful to their gay best friends for providing them with a cover. meanwhile, Bill and Danny are also in love and that double wedding is their opportunity to make vows to each other as well. the four of them live in happy gay love for the rest of their days!

I’m V’s, a mixed-race, autistic trans woman. I run a youtube channel with my partner Sam.

Back in March I was hit by a car in a hit and run. It severed my PCL, tore my ACL, tore my meniscus, ruptured the gastroc muscles (the top half of the calf) and bruised my patellar tendon. It put me out of work for 7 weeks and racked up a bunch of medical bills because insurance requires me to pay a deductible that’s almost half of what I make in a year before they pay anything. On top of that I was required to reduce my hours at work from 40 to 25. I’ll always need a can to walk more than very short distances and anything longer than half a block I need a knee brace.

At this time I can no longer see the doctor because I have to pay for this stuff out of pocket and currently owe the hospital and my GP a combined total of around $18,000. I still need to see my GP to continue getting my anti-depressants and begin seeing a therapist so I can get back on my anxiety and ADHD meds. I would have by now but I can’t because I still have all these other unpaid bills with them.

Sam’s insurance was cut off as of yesterday because they fell below the required hours per quarter to receive benefits because they got sick, meaning we now also have to cover their testosterone, doctor’s visits and insulin out of pocket, which just the insulin alone is $600 a month.

We’re applying for state health insurance, but the process isn’t instant and might not be able to go through for at least a month.

With our current income we literally can’t cover this stuff and still pay rent, bills, and buy food. We’ve received a lot of help (especially from a specific person, whom I can never properly thank) and it’s helped us catch up on unpaid things from when I wasn’t working, but with everything we’re going to drown at this point. We desperately need help with this.
