Oregon’s Unlimited Campaign Contribution Limits
When elections come around there is eagerness to see who will win as the primary focus. As we bypass the thrills of the elections other controversial topics emerge. Within these topics money surfaces into the conversation but never finishes growing its roots. In reality there is no true acknowledgement over election spending and how it affects our nation. Mega-donations have a higher influence on campaigns during elections rather than in our vote. How can we trust politics if corruption exists? Money in politics increases everyday and is constantly affecting the better judgement within politics. Oregon is one of the few remaining states that has not set limits on election spending. With no form of regulation or democracy is broken and no justice is in place. Money and power will always hold an advantage but our votes should come first.
