him being the one to blame for this, he knew he had little to no room to complain. it was his fault sofia was here --- not what he meant to do when visiting falcone, and sure proved to be a bad idea when oswald snapped against her ( with good reason, though ).

“ i imagine they did that for a reason? ”     and a good one... hopefully. it’s not like jim could force the company to give this man its job back. the cop still didn’t understand why someone like him would come asking for help or rather some kind of approval. 

“ dammit oswald, i told you to DROP IT. ”     he tried being as patient as possible with him, but ever since the bird changed after certain incidents it was more of a waste of time than anything. tired and angry, he broke into oswald’s office and kept a short distance from the criminal; perhaps not the smartest thing to do... he could easily get stabbed like this yet somehow part of him still trusted oswald not to kill him.

they managed to escape in one piece and as far as jim knew, no one had seen them run away. more of a scandal to have jim affiliated with a criminal like oswald, even when they’ve been seen together a few times before --- business only... or so they thought, anyway.      “ you know what i just did for you could get me fired, right? ”

“ hey... sorry, i didn’t mean to wake you up. ”     sometimes he wondered how oswald was patient enough to deal with him. it wasn’t exactly appealing to have your partner arrive quite late at night; the streets never really rested and given how good of a cop jim was, he’d be the one to deal with most cases... not that he complained, but it was still a lot of stress to carry.

“ uh huh... and i’m supposed to believe that? ”      many things could be sketchy on this city, and sadly enough jim was barely getting to see that. of course anyone could lie, though he never imagined people would do it so often. the question is not meant to come off as rude, rather it’s part of the process as it let’s him know whether the witness was being honest or not.

recently having joined, jim found it necessary to take a look around the precinct and get to know the staff. even when he’d already gotten a little ‘tour’, he took the liberty of walking freely since there seemed to be no new cases for him to deal with. heading towards a room that appeared to be rather well hidden, he looks inside and at first, it’s easy to miss her. the shuffling through papers makes him look and shily enough jim shows a smile.

ya era bastante extraño que un desconocido se le acercase con tanta confianza; normalmente un criminal no se atrevería a ello con la reputación que ya tiene gordon, pero eso no lo detiene de mostrar una pequeña sonrisa después de los pocos segundos que tomó al otro acomodarse en su asiento frente a jim.
