kristen wiig as tim and rachel dratch as gregg

to start with, i think rachel as gregg is a pretty easy choice. dratch is not only physically similar to him, but she's literally the debbie downer, the reason why that expression even exists. i feel the lack of social awareness and the way her characters bring the energy down in every room she goes to is a lot like gregg's personality (real gregg literally plays an energy vampire in wwdits), and if she was more deadpan and less straightforwardly ridiculous in her delivery she would pretty much be literally gregg

i feel kristen wiig might need a little more explanation, though. in general, i think she's a great comedy actress with a great range to play either the straight man or the ridiculous half of a duo, which is something tim also does pretty well, and a lot of her deliveries in movies and sketches in snl remind me of characters tim would play in tim & eric awesome show. however, i think ocatc tim is too much of a specific, complicated character to give to anyone, and i was actually quite not sure when it came to kristen... until, i remembered she plays a tv host with bpd in the movie "welcome to me", and i genuinely feel that if you were to mix this version of her with her more ridiculous characters, you would pretty much have fem tim.

besides, through her career in snl she has played multiple characters with extreme look changes which reminds me to tim's hair and style through the seasons.
