Hartstikke tof natuurlijk, facebook, maar trappen jullie dan ook per direct groepen als return of kings en dergelijke misogyne bullshit van jullie platform? Kthxbye. #facebook #vrouwendag #holleretoriek #feminisme
Zal ik "tis kaal of kammen weetjewel" erbij posten, of toch "when a skinhead, walks down the street, every chickheart skips a beat"?
Google is most definately not pro life. #thefuckgoogle?!
:D
question:
ok, i think i am personally pretty OK with being a dude. i mean, i am a cis-man, and i have no personal problems with that. but: more and more i hate being associated with men. men are assholes. whenever i have to tick a gender box i feel weird having to mark ‘male’, not because of personal feelings, but because of social implications. so, the question: do others feel like this? is there a term for this? or is it just a crippling sense of incapability to deal with a sucky world?
This… really isn’t a good way to deal with this. If you’re not cis, you’re not cis, and that’s valid! If you are cis, that is also valid. But distancing yourself from being a (cis) man because of patriarchy isn’t helping the situation. It’s putting the attention back on you (you feel bad because men have privilege and now your feelings need addressed). If you really want to do something about how you feel, how about researching feminism and becoming a feminist ally?
What makes you think i am not a feminist? Actually, i'm pretty baffled at the cis male tears bullshit. I'm not whining, i'm definately not saying i have it bad or people aren't worse off, i think i have my shit in check pretty well. Actually, that's WHY i'd like to unsubscribe from being a man: i am aware of the implications ticking that box has.
Also: i wasnt aware that crippling was seen as a slur. Not my first language and all. Sorry for that.

When I say “there is no ethical consumerism under capitalism”
I mean that the consumers are never to blame.
The shit we buy is entirely class-driven so blaming the consumer on their strategic buying (to save money or w/e) is pointless and damaging.
Blame the corporations, blame capital. Blame the society that forces us to be consumers and cuts us off from all alternatives. Blame this prison called capitalism.

Answer from a surprising source: I feel the same way a lot of the time. I’m a white hetero cis-male, but I’m almost ashamed to be one, both because of how the ‘general man’ acts and how they’re perceived, and I sometimes even feel the need to audibly distance myself from 'them’. I consider myself a feminist and respect any and every choice someone makes regarding to gender, sexual preference, and way of life, but I sometimes get the feeling that I’m being judged simply because I’m white, cis, and straight, regardless of what my personal points of view are. So yeah, I feel the same way a lot of the time, but I try not to let it get to me, because I know that I’m not one of them.
well, yeah, i feel judged too, but i don't think that's so weird. i think there's ample reason not to trust men, especially when they're white cishets.. i myself don't trust 'em, in particular the macho jock type riding scooters. it's not really that i don't want to be part of a group that's judged, i don't want to be part of a group Í judge. a lot of the times when i talk with men i swallow lots of critique about what they say, how they act. sometimes i deliberately wear a macho mask just to fit in. (i might be vegan, but i don't like salads either, hardihar har!) i've wondered whether i identify as something else than man, but untill now, i haven't come across a term that suits me better. i call myself queer, but that's more politically motivated than personally, if you catch my drift. can't i just unsubscribe from the implications of having a penis, short hair and clothes from the men's department?
