I made a bike with lugs. The first two Coarse frames were lugged, but since then everything has been fillet brazed, aside from the lugged forks I build from time to time. This frame was built with Columbus spirit for lugs main tubes, Columbus life s bend stays installed in reverse, nova four point lugs that I carved up and modified a bit, and Paragon Machine Works track ends.

On Sunday Kyle and I headed down to Morristown, NJ to race the Lewis Morris Challenge. It was my first race of the season, in any discipline. The day before I had messengered in the pouring rain for 8 hours, so I new going into it my form wasn't going to be anywhere near top notch. It had rained heavily all morning, and the night before as well. It made the normally fast, minimally technical course quite sloppy, and required good bike handling and attention to detail as far as taking good lines went. I had a terrible start due to a clogged pedal from preriding and not realizing how much mud had built up around my cleat and in my pedal. Womp. I ended up not getting clipped in until half the field had ridden away from me. Spent the rest of the race trying to make up time to no avail. Ended up with a 10th place finish. This is basically the start of my training for cyclocross. I plan on racing as much XC MTB as I can before Nittany. That coupled with a legitimate training plan that starts on 7/15, care of my coach at Dedicated Endurance Training, will hopefully whip my fat ass into shape, and perhaps net me some results this fall.

Daccordi track frame repair. Turned existing lugs into half lug Bi-laminate style and replaced the cracked headtube Earlier in the week I got a call from someone inquiring about a frame repair. He was in town for monstertrack and was working a few mess shifts during the week. That morning he noticed his headtube had a huge crack in it, and was pretty bummed to say the least. A few days later, his bike is fixed, and will be ready to race tomorrow. When he dropped his repair, we set him up with a loaner, so he didn't miss any work opportunities during the week. Stoked to have been able to help a #messbros in need and keep his steed rolling. #spreadlove
