He observed with a hint of amusement as he thought of the hours he spent at the ER.

“That’s not exactly what I’m doing.”

She observed with a hint of amusement.

“I can handle that. I have my own dog walking company.”

“are you going to pick at everything that i say and try to analyze it? i have enough of that with the damn cricket.“ reginald was so used to demanding things and people not questioning it. then again, for so long tie was frozen for all of them and they didn’t know that they could speak out. “you just made it evident that it’s been in the past. i’m allowed to be annoyed in the present.” although he was almost sure emmett’s parents would be of good use during the next attack. the whole family seemed to be saviors. “how is henry doing in school by the way? you talk to snow more than i do.”

Chris could only groan at the mouth around him, at the dildo forcing its way inside him, hard and fast, Ricardo’s pace punishing in the best of ways. “honestly? i think it’s just a fairly new thing.”  though he could be patient and henry was certainly worth being patient for.  the way that he was looking at him never failed to make his heart race.  “fine, patience.”  he murmured.  though he melted against henry when he kissed him and reached up to cup his face, a groan escaping him when henry stroked him.  fuck.  he needed more of this.  but he was determined not to beg.

“i’m definitely going with what my looks gave me.”  miles laughed and shook his head.  it was far easier than accepting how old he actually was, though he was grateful that he finally got to age as everyone else did and live one life time.  That sounded like a fair deal though.  “i know i can do, being determined apparently runs in the family.”  he chuckled.

Of course people only saw what they wanted to see.    They saw Jefferson, the Mad Hatter and assumed she was just as mad as he was.     Though she would say that Wonderland left its mark, but the curse had given her time to allow her mind to work in ways it did before but getting lost in her own thoughts was still very dangerous.

Melinda smiled at Rex, a genuine smile.   “Oh yeah, burning it to the ground will be no problem.    Upper Level Demons are a bit like cockroaches, though, give them a moment and they’ll escape and bring friends.”    If she had to, she would make sure the vanquishing potion was at its ready.      Mels had never used the magic she learned from Henry and the previous White Queen against a demon or warlock.      She intended to do some experimenting.

“I know I shouldn’t be questioning this, but do they have a heart?” Rex asked. Being demons, he assumed if they did they should be pure black. To which his curiosity was high. Not for control, mind you, but simple scientific method. One little thing about potions and magic was precisely that: it was no difference from science. One mixed the ingredients in the right proportions, sometimes even using that which science books identify as such. Place the right matters, gestures, thoughts, and you get the reaction. As such, a demon heart was, in the least, interesting.

“You’re really excited about us all being gone,” she observed with faint amusement. She supposed everyone needed a break from the chaos. “You should enjoy it, this break. It goes by fast, after all. Soon we’ll all be back for another year of…something.” Prue couldn’t shake the anxieties and the nagging bad feeling she had about what was to come. It wasn’t unwarranted though, particularly because there was a Dark Lord out there with her and her friend’s name at the top of his shit list. And he knew where they’d be which made them entirely too vulnerable for her liking. “Do you, do you ever think maybe the castle isn’t the safest place for us?” The words tasted sour coming out of her mouth. She’d only ever felt safest in this castle but lately… the past few years… everything was turning upside down and she didn’t know how to stop it. 

“gramps?  well.  i suppose you have a point.”  miles laughed as he shuffled to the edge of the seat and took a proper look at the other man.  gramps though?  he should probably be more insulted by that.  “you have no idea.  well, i’ll take that as hope.”

“maybe i am, doesn’t seem like a bad thing though.”  he pointed out.  in fact, rufio was rather okay with it.  though the smirk quickly got wiped off his face when henry touched his groin and he let out a groan.  “we’re wearing too much.”  he murmured.

“Be there for him when he needs you now. Make memories.”

“I’ll have to remember that.”

She confessed as she rose to her feet once more. She appreciated his honesty about this. It made her feel less alone.
