back in LA, most of the time when jay would shapeshift it would be into another human, taking someone’s face with intent to impersonate them. but he’s not in LA anymore, and with his criminal days (mostly) behind him, his shifting here at keisung has mostly been into animals. and honestly, he loves it. as painful as the transformations always are, jay finds it so freeing to take on the abilities of an animal that can run or climb or swim far better then he ever could in his human form. his favourite is flying though, which of course is the hardest to obtain, birds don’t generally sit still when you approach them. but there was a blue bird on his windowsill that morning and, with practiced caution, jay had managed to cup it gently in his hands just long enough for the animal’s shape to transfer.
and that’s the form he’s in now, soaring above the campus, letting the weight of the world get smaller and smaller the higher he flies. he spends most of the morning like this, flying from tree to tree, rooftop to rooftop, beyond keisung to the town close by, always staying high enough that it feels like his problems can’t reach him. but, flying is exhausting, and eventually, reluctantly, he makes his way back to campus. he intends to land somewhere out of sight, but he misjudges his landing, crashing into the ground somewhere a little more open—and right in front of another student. he shifts back to his human form, groaning in pain both at the change, and his head-on collision with the ground, but he keeps his eyes closed, too embarrassed to look up at the person who just witnessed this blunder. “ow, motherfucker.”
It was a lovely day and Mija was already out and about the academy just enjoying the day. She floated around somewhat in solid form and transparent, it scared some people especially when she completely disappeared and then suddenly appeared but mostly everyone here were used she guessed as they all were unique in the own way. When she first became a ghost she hated the feeling she got when she went through walls or when people just walked through her when she was invisible, it was like the worst thing for Mija back then and what made it even worse was that at that time she didn’t have full control of her form so sometimes she would be solid and sometimes not which made things difficult when you were trying to avoid going through walls and not letting people get through you.
But today she didn’t mind at all, she had way more control over it but it wasn’t uncomfortable anymore. That weird tingling feeling she used to have was totally gone and it was a relieve but at the same time it worried her It made her wonder if slowly and slowly she would lose the feelings she had because she was a ghost. She was floating outside while thoughts ran through her head, Mija looked at the sky and notices a little bird trying to land. She smiled and watched the little bird and got worried as it seemed to be struggling and then all of the sudden it was on the ground in a human form “ Oh ! Are you alright ?! “
