So, for my game Lamplight (coming soon on steam) there are four playable characters. The second is Victor Frankenstein who has been driven nearly to madness by unfortunate events of his life. He has more of risky playstyle focusing on buffing himself and using the sanity mechanics to his advantage. This card portrays him as the Hermit tarot card.
Before the death of Van Helsing, he was a well-respected scientific prodigy. He made so many advancements that he was brought by several academic benefactors to England. There he made his most grave mistake; he created a monster. He ended up fainting when looking upon its unnatural from for the first time. He then tried desperately to escape it, but this only ended with the death of his best friend and his wife.
In a finale desperate confrontation, he attempted to destroy the creature after it found his notes and said it would attempt to make more like itself. But it was fruitless, the creature ripped his arm of and left him for dead. But he survived and reattached his arm with is research.
Now he must kill Dracula to escape the British Isles to follow his beast to the new world, and end it once and for all.
The game is going to be a free roguelike turn based deck builder and battler based off of classical gothic literature. You can check out the page now on steam!
