it was almost like the second they met , taylor was drawn to rex. knew things were different for rex than they were for him , but he didn't care. he was all in as soon as the other would allow him to be. "just need you," he murmured before he puckered his lips expectantly, asking for a kiss. "maybe a drink, too," he added with a small grin, "whatever you're havin', i'll have the same."

noah rubbed the back of his neck sheepishly, "i've got to keep myself healthy, yeah⸺i've been hitting the gym lately." a soft chuckle escaped his lips as he shrugged a shoulder, "i guess that's what i'm asking. so... did you?" he asked, head tilting slightly at the question before he grabbed another shot, "just curious, that's all."

" his voice is soft and mellow as it always is , like it's trying to wrap itself around rex and keep him safe from harm. he knows what nothing is , so he doesn't push. " he pouts then at the loss of contact , something that he had grown to crave when rex wasn't around. he takes his hand then , leading him to his bedroom. "yeah? what are you writin' about?" he asks, eyes glancing briefly at taylor's desk before he takes a seat at the edge of the bed. "mm, we can," rex holds the other's hands, bringing him closer so that he's standing in front of him. he tilts his head a little, thumb brushing against taylor's knuckles. "alright, i get it..." vinny exhaled deeply, pretending the tension wasn't thick enough to touch. "you're pissed at me. it's kinda my fault" it was totally his fault. "i promise we'll get there first thing in the morning. it will be like we didn't miss anything at all." he sank further into the stiff motel mattress. ayanna was more annoyed than anything else, really. she was exhausted and all she wanted was to lie down and get some sleep. at this point, she was too tired to even say i told you so. slowly, she turned to look at vinny, an unimpressed glare on her face before letting out a quiet scoff. "of course i'm pissed. now i've gotta sleep in the same clothes i've been wearin' all day because someone turned right instead of left," she mumbled under her breath. she refused to sleep in clothes that had been worn outside the house, it's a thing that she has. "so... unless you've got a spare set of clothes for me," she said, crossing her arms as she settled further against the headboard, "i'll just be sittin' right here."
