I like seeing the different interpretations of how super strength would work on things. In the first gif it’s like a ton of force just all of a sudden crushed an object, the way you’d think is the default. Sort of like if you dropped it from the top of a building. The second gif is like if it was trapped under a hydraulic press.

PersonalIy I like the first one (Supergirl's interpretation) simply because it looks like she's crushing it within the palm of her hand vs slamming down on it. In the second gif, the nightstand just isn't going to operate as the other half of a hydraulic press. Clark might as well have put his nightstand through the floor with that sort of thinking. But I'm taking this kind of literally, I guess.

I'm actually rather happy that they went with Rachel delivering the cure. It certainly set up the season on an incremental trajectory for redemption (and then not, and then maybe, but hell no, but kinda-sorta). In any case, it definitely sets her up as a really great character - villain or not, depending on your point of view. I sort of wish Helena got a similarly morally grey character treatment given her background as a serial clone killer. I'm sure the parallel has been made but they're really two sides of the same coin that were results of their upbringing.
