i write fanfiction and like to infodump. i’ll probably have some other things up here along with my main interests (twdg and oniisama e come to mind) but it will mostly be snippets of fanfics and such.

i’m stefan bekowsky’s biggest fan unfortunately. i am also chronically logainne schwartzandgrubenierre.

Cole

Plays the oboe. It feels fitting as an instrument who is often made to carry their own part and/or lead a section. A well-known sound but still unfamiliar to the untrained ear. They tune the orchestra and frequently carry the melody in romantic and classical music (Tchaikovsky’s Swan Lake, Berlioz’s Idée fixe in Symphony Fantastique, etc.) which shows a natural affinity for leadership. It can be slightly grating on the ears but can also sound about as close to a human voice as possible, which I think Cole would LOVE.

He’s not super keen on things changing. So, when Stefan hops from cello to first flute, he does not like it.

Seen by his peers as a “prodigy” of sorts. He’s just a diligent section leader, but he’s also one of the best oboists in the country. He doesn’t like acknowledging it and hates it when other people acknowledge it (ring any bells?).

Played saxophone before being in the orchestra. He still plays here and there, but oboe is his main. Until, of course, Stefan pulls him into it.

Stefan

“Floater” of sorts. He plays piano, but also cello, flute, bass, drum kit, and a few other instruments.

He starts in the cello section, but when the ensemble is needs a flutist, he volunteers. Cole is… less than thrilled.

Is in a small jazz group with some friends in LA. They’re short a sax player, and Stefan finds that to be one instrument he just can’t pick up.

Plays piano in his group but they all hop around. When he finds out Cole plays saxophone, he forces him to come and play with them.

Teaches lessons to some kids in the area. Freelances, and lives with his buddies in his jazz group.

Roy

Concert master. Bootlicker. Bro looooves being the center of attention. He paid his way to first chair first violin and decided to camp out there.

Orchestra hates him. They can’t do anything about it, though. He sends out bowed music and everyone ignores it.

I haven’t put any more thought into him bc I HATE him.
