There’s something so tragic about performing a character for the last time. Like, what’s going to happen to him once he’s outstayed his welcome? Who will take care of him if not me? Who will understand him the way I have grown to? What wonderful experiences will he have once we part? I have no clue.

First, meet one of the probably many people who have played Nicely since, i'm playing him atm! in my cast, we've played him as more excitable and happy, slightly naive compared to benny's serious and well meaning but very, very not clever. i dread the last day, even though i'm exhausted from all the 12 hour days. on the note of outstayed his welcome, that made me sad thinking about nicely being sad and having to leave, but i like to think this role will still be a part of me for a long time, and i'll always like singing sit down you're rocking the boat and guys and dolls and everything else i am so glad my cast isn't the only person who sees the gay in this show. Nicely NEVER talks about women, except when he's mucking around with benny, or Nathan says anything. benny, similar to nicely, though there is also one specific line where he is very very effeminate in our choreo, which in our cast has had a couple of people come up with headcanons. nathan, generally nothing gay has happened, except the dear line that is written into the script and his doomed relationship. the solution? polycule. probably qpc or just plain romantic. nathan loves nicely (hence dear) and probably benny to have him around all the time and trust him. benny loves both, prefers nicely as in our cast I almost have to guide him and help him through a lot of things. nicely loves benny, hence spending all their time together. he will be open to polyculing if benny wants it with nathan. anyway, weirdest question. so, the scene with the carnations where big jule is introduced and the scene after take back your mink, the script says nicely is eating, what did you eat? sorry for such a long rambly reblog on an old post but OUTSIDE OF LIKE 3 PEOPLE ON THE CAST I CANNOT HAVE THIS CONVERSATION WITHOUT LOOKING COMPLETELY MENTAL.
