"Uh...shit." Unprompted
Gahn'tha-di's mandibles clicked together behind her bio-mask. She tilted her head down at the strange apparent Oomani-di in her bright attire. There was no doubt in her mind that this individual was a pup. Older than a suckling obviously, maybe even the equivalent of an unblooded, maybe. But she was rather small. Regardless she appeared quite young and Gahn'tha-di felt it would be dishonorable to hunt this one.
Instead, the huntress opted to repeat the Ooman's words back to her through her helmet's recording system.
"Uh...shit." The Oomani-di's own voice would echo back through vocal mimicry.

Surrounded by mountains, hardened gray dressed in fertile river plains, John moved into the hills and forests of the Thailand region. Deep into the green and humidity, until the knees of his pants were soaked through, the collar of his shirt stained in sweat. Black cotton darkened ever further; the only companions that came along were his blade and his bow. A quiver full of arrows, the mission was easily understood. Get in, get out, venture back into the world that was once deemed dead. John never believed he would've actually returned. Was visitor often enough within his dreams - awoken by his own screams in the night, his lungs tight, tears in his eyes. Caged like an animal, three years after the destruction of Hope, the prison was both a blessing and a curse. Kept others away, kept John away. Freed him from the horrors of the outside, the people who cared not for him, the society that shunned him, he would find the men that the Army had left behind. Save them, win the war that had been lost, finally get the mercy that was never given to him.
Vietnam to be entered from Thailand, John counted the miles as he walked. Pushed away low hanging branches and vines, watched out for the enemy that lurked between the trees. Potential dangers, from the smallest of bugs that buzzed by his ears to the larger birds that chirped. Listened to the echo of the woods around, the sudden stomp of dirt from a direction of the right side made John pause instantly. Readied himself into position, an arrow pulled against his bow string, brown irises scanning the line of bush, brush, and weeds. Breathing deeply through his nose, John focused on the origin of the sound, the movement that he was certain was real.
His heart knew he wasn't alone.
It was not Gahn'tha-di's first hunt on the Oomans' planet nor would it be her last. She had developed an interest in hunting the pyode amedha, the soft meat, perhaps even more so than her peers. Especially after encountering the Ooman who had slain many yautja that stepped foot on this planet, the one who she had bested and allowed to get away. They were a hardy species. An intelligent species. And one who always made for an interesting hunt. Unlike other creatures the pyode amedha made each hunt a memorable one. No two were the same although they all proved to be a unique challenge. Many of their skulls lined her trophy wall and many more would in the future.
Today she had her eyes on her next potential trophy and was observing him careful to determine worthiness. He was a fit male of the species, not unlike the yautja-killer she encountered previously. She approached him from the right, his heat signature a bright bloom in the center of her bio-helmet's vision. Then he turned in her direction. Although she was cloaked and invisible to the eyes of her potential prey he had still been sensitive enough to his surroundings to notice her. Maybe she had stepped too firmly upon the ground or had brushed some leaves. Regardless of what had alerted him to her presence, she remained still.
Gahn'tha-di's mandibles clicked together in a soft, curious, purr. It was like the sound of a woodpecker in the distance. The chittering of a hunter who was interested in what her prey had to offer.

Character Wishlist;
Figured I might kick this blog off with a wishlist for some characters i'd love to interact with on here! Honestly, it's gonna be a pretty broad list because I want to interact with anybody and everybody but here it goes!
To start... literally any character from the Predator franchise. When I made this blog I tried looking for other Predator rp blogs but all of them have been long since abandoned it would seem. I'd be really interested to rp with any yautja for sure. I think it could be so fun to bounce around ideas for their culture and for Cleo to have someone to speak the yautja language with. I'd also love a Dutch given the history between Cleo and Dutch. I think she has complicated feelings about that old ooman man.
Next on the list would be... any na'vi from the James Cameron Avatar series! I love when people cross over those films with the AVP universe and I think it would be interesting to have Cleo interacting with one of them.
Next up would be... slashers/monsters/horror movie characters! Predator is pretty action-horror so could definitely be interesting to interact with more characters in the genre. Also I'm just generally a big fan of all of kinds of creatures. Vampires, werewolves, ghosts - that sort of stuff is my jam. I'd love to see how Cleo might interact with that. Also would be funny to see how she'd react to your average slasher.
And lastly would be... any space/sci-fi themed characters! Stuff like Star Wars immediately comes to mind and obviously the Alien films, but honestly I'd be down for any kind of space themed interaction. Yautja are aliens after all so it only makes sense that there might be some interactions out there in the dark abyss of space, on other planets, or on a space ship somewhere.
Aside from that, I'd genuinely be down to interact with anyone who'll have me! I haven't been in the rpc in a long time and it feels like things have gotten much quieter here since I last roleplayed and, admittedly, a bit harder to find blogs to interact with. So, really, I'd be happy to rp with anybody!!
