just thinking about Act 3 hawkebela when Isabela is figuring out what it means to have made the Choice To Stay, and also-- importantly-- the choice to have accepted her feelings for Hawke. Not only her feelings but her decision to act on them. And I think there's so much unfamiliar but raw, sincere insecurity, and fear, to her confession. Isabela asks "do I still have a chance with you?" A chance........ girl..... im feeling insane about it. This is a side of Isabela that is rarely ever seen, this is not an Isabela who evades and deflects and exudes casual confidence. This Isabela is deeply and consciously vulnerable-- allowing herself to be vulnerable. This is new territory, this is the result of dragging years of unattended baggage and the belief that 'love's not for her'... or, perhaps, deeper down, that 'she's not for love'....
