Two different iterations of the same densho: Seigō-ryū #hojojutsu . The one on the right is much more recent. Between the "Nawasho" (on thr left, dated 1797), the Yūgenshū (on the right, undated), and Fujita Seiko's Zukai Hojōjutsu (dated 1964). Each has content added as it is rewriten while the content becomes more specific, yet loses its flavour and thus its essence. By Fujita Seiko's time, the gokui of Seigō-ryū was gone.
