There's always one course that looks super messy. Apparently, this term it's constitutional law... πββοΈ

A new coffee bean just opened and I just love the interiors and the lighting! And itβs just right across from where I live. Finally, a new study place! Idk why but Iβm not a huge fan of their coffee though.Β
IΒ will be trying my best to be active again. Iβm now in my 3rd year of law school. I started my studyblr during my first year and it has helped me de-stress from my law school life.Β
Super duper thankful of the upperclassmen and seniors whoΒ willingly share their notes with us! You are the real MVPs! Wouldnβt survive law school without you guys!

The Night Before Your Exam
Hello, hi there. Recently I made a post about what to do the day of your exam and itβs still getting notes which is amazing. Thank you all. So now, please enjoy these realistic tips for the night before your exam that do not involve perfum, gum, or cramming. Please donβt cram.
Get a good nightβs sleep. I know that for many of us this is a major challenge because we deal with insomnia or anxiety disorders that keep us awake. Try taking a warm bath in Epsom salts. Stay in the tub until you break a sweat. Pick your salts wisely because some of them are more energizing (i.e lavender salts are more energizing I have found).
If you are having trouble sleeping because of tension in your neck/back, try to relieve the tension by rolling out your muscles on the floor, or conciously tensing them up for about 10-20 seconds before slowing releasing. The Epsom salt bath really helps with any sort of tension. I have chronic nerve pain from a car accident and itβs one of the few things that help me that is more holistic.
Donβt shy away from melatonin. It works wonders and you wonβt feel βhung overβ in the morning like you may with Z-Quil. They have melatonin gummies too!
Try lowering your body temperature. Sleep naked. Itβs life changing. If you canβt sleep naked (because you live in a dorm) still do your best to keep it cool. Our bodies get tired when their temps are lower.
Additionally, do not cram for any exam. The night before your exam is not the time to be learning any new material. We are way past that. Gently refresh the material that you already know; however, do focus on items you may struggle with. Remember, althetes donβt go crazy hard the day before a game - treat your brain the same way; no heavy lifting.
You may take this time to rewrite your notes. Itβs a simple act that can definitely help you to remember.
Try teaching the material to someone else, or if no one else is available - stand in the mirror and give your own personal TedTalk on the subject. Hey, if it works for Sims, right? Remember that if you can teach the material, you know it. Reiterating in your own words is so helpful.
This should go without saying, but eat a good dinner.
Use the βMatch,β βTest,β and βSpellβ functions on Quizlet. Very helpful.
Have I said do not cram yet?
Lay out your clothes for the morning. The fewer decisions the better.
Youβre going to want to wake up with enough time to review your study materials a couple more times, get ready for the day, and leave for the exam early (so that you have time to review when you get there and to ensure you are on time!) So set your alarm in advance.
Make sure that you set out your blue book, calculator, etc. so that you are prepared for the exam tomorrow and you arenβt sprinting across campus to find somewhere that sells blue books.
Triple check that alarm.
Try to limit your use of electronics 30 minutes before you need to fall asleep. I know that isnβt always reasonable though. Just make sure your phone is plugged in so that it is well charged and ON when you need that alarm to go off.
Drink some water.
Donβt drink any coffee or other caffeinated beverage/over induldge in nicotine/or take your *prescription!!!* adderall after 8 PM. Really for the Adderall donβt take it after like 5:30. You will be up all night long, my friend.
Okay last time: do not cram for any exam. Thatβs like over extertion for your brain and it will take you time to recover. If you continuously pull all nighters to cram you will crash and burn eventually. So just start early on your study plan. You can make time for it, I promise.
Happy studying, realistic students!

what to do when everythingβs a mess
Wash your hair. Donβt worry about all those articles online about the best haircare products of 2019 and whatnot, get in, wash it like you usually do, get out. Leave it to air dry, itβs less work for you.
Brush your teeth. Even if you brushed them this morning and are probably going to brush it tonight, do it anyway. Especially if itβs exam time, all that tea or coffee youβre most likely downing (props to you if you only study with water) probably makes them feel kind of gross.
I know most of these lists tell you to run a bath, but letβs face it, for those of you who even have a bath in the first place, the thought of filling that tub and sitting there in complete silence for a couple hours seems like a trek. And ironically exhausting. So instead, just brush your hair, take a nap (set a nice soothing alarm) and once youβve gotten out of bed, wash your face or at least splash cold water on your face.
CLEAN clean clean clean CLEAN. Easier said than done, but at least start by clearing one messy component of your area; it could be your floor, your desk or your bed. You donβt need to clean and re-organise your entire room marie condo-style for you to actually have a reason to take the time to clean in the first place. A little goes a long way, and you donβt ALWAYS need to do the hard yards ya know.
I would say read a book, but sometimes your brain is melting or buzzing so it canβt really focus on anything lengthy. So instead, find someone reciting a poem online, and just listen to it. I recommend Jeremy Irons and his voicing of tons of T.S Eliot poetry, or Allen Ginsberg reciting his own poetry (Howl is a classic).
If youβre one of those people who drowns their sorrows by listening to music, donβt listen to music!! Donβt reinforce your pain!! So to that I say, listen to a podcast. If the classic podcast genre of true crime is a little too stressful and youβve already cried twice today, listen to interviews with actors, screenwriters and directors. It can be really refreshing to listen to people you already enjoy the content of talk about their work. I recommend Awards Chatter and Happy Sad Confused.
Stop staring at screens! Just physically sit outside for a bit, you donβt need to go for a jog or do a general workout, justβ¦sit. People-watch, try and memorise the exact scene in front of you, from the mis-en-scene to all the colours and sounds and the way the sunlight feels on your eyelashes. Write it down if you want to, you could even denote a single notebook to your little outdoor descriptions. Or just write on a napkin. To each their own.
Have you eaten today? And I mean something hearty, something that isnβt primarily made out of air and salt. Something that falls under the umbrella of snack does not count; meal is more like it. If not, eat. Preparing food might feel exhausting, but soβs going a relatively long amount of time without something nutritionally substantial.
If youβre feeling emotionally heavily, get out a notebook or even just a scrap of paper, a pen and cry until your eyes are as blurry as can be. With tears down your cheeks, scribble out how youβre feeling. DonβtΒ bother with how neat or messy it is, whether the sentences even stay on the lines, itβs not about being aesthetic. In fact, itβs about being as messy as possible. Let all of it out, and let is act as a physical manifestation of whatβs going on in your head. Donβt fight it or deny it, relieve yourself by both constructing and understanding yourself.Β
Iβm currently studying for my last university exam and I still canβt believe Iβm almost done with Uni. This second semester I have to focus like crazy on my final degree project. UNI IS ALMOST DONE!!
Iβve been watching the Olympics all week while revising biology, all the competitors are so talented! Iβm so stressed for mocks (;^_^A
I recently started journaling and for some reason I feel a lot less anxious and I get things done?
Taking a few minutes out of your day to journal is a great mindfulness practice that helps you focus your thoughts, reduce stress, and help you achieve your goals! Not many people do it because it looks like you are wasting your time but it saves so much time and makes your life so much better! I recommend all my followers to buy a journal and keep up the practice for at least a week. You will notice a positive change in your life. Guaranteed!
If you are more like me and donβt like staring at a blank page then please check out the Morning Sidekick JournalΒ by Habitnest! I got my journal during their Kickstarter campaign and have been using it ever since! Itβs a journal that helps you implement healthy habits and win your morning. They also have other journals for meditation, nutrition, and weightlifting. But just look at this <3
Before I started journaling I was always stressed and directionless and maybe this sounds a bit sillyΒ but I am actually conquering my life now!
Check out their website here:Β habitnest.com
