Watson: He's a military man, and you can tell that from the first few minutes. You can tell just by looking at his trousers, specifically Galife Pants, which I think a lot of people saw on the military in the 1930s and 50s, but the basis was laid by Gaston de Galliffet in the 1800s.

It's worth noting that Watson wears these trousers periodically throughout the series, although they only became globally fashionable for men in the 1900s, so Watson is a fashionista ahead of her time.✨

Next up is the footwear, specifically The Ammunition Boot. The difference is that the model Watson is wearing is from the World War I period rather than the late 1880s.

But there were still very similar boots in the 1800s.

He looks as the characters and the creators of the series describe him (a psychotic, a man with a schizoid disorder).

His hair is dishevelled, unlike the other characters (excluding those in the lower class).

I really like his hairstyle, as it makes him look like someone who really doesn't care what he looks like (unlike Holmes 2009, whose slogan is ‘The sloppiest hairstyle you spent 2 hours on’)

the stubble, which makes him look like a teenager in puberty

he glasses with lenses that make his eyes look bigger, which makes him look crazier than usual.
