That's it, I need to stop doing "monthly" updates... I seem to keep forgetting about it. Plus, a week would make things more active.
So, first thing's first, I'm trying to consume content as much as I post: it's always good to engage and build up your circle, plus you never know if someone's made something inspiring or can offer tips you may need. Speaking of posts, I notice Tumblr's surprisingly divided on using AI... You either find people downright cursing it, or happy to use and even praising its benefits when writing/etc. I feel like we need to come to some kind of middle ground at this point: YOU make the final product to actually share and only use AI to combat blocks or find inspiration otherwise, use it SPARINGLY if people won't finally just make it more environmentally friendly (people try making cars less environmentally harmful)... Like, AI truly isn't going anywhere at this point, all we can do is just make it less damaging and actually find some way to benefit-- while NOT foregoing our sense of independency. Still learn skills and all, people, even if you're becoming "obsolete." At the very least, you can laugh at everyone who starts screaming and panicking when ChaptGPT or something is buffering.
I also got a huge new TV, after my parents got a bigger one for the living room. Don't get me started on how that thing almost killed us all and tried to steal my left set of fingers, but luckily only succeeded in pulling my glove off. Of course, my cats used our distracting work to enter a room they know I don't allow them in... I swear, that screen was more handprints than glass-- just like how my mom swore to be very upset and act out if I do end up being crashed to death by a fallen TV. At the very least, it was easier for me to rearrange everything to make wall-space. I hope it'll finally make it easier to actually set up my old gaming consoles and all, since it's clear we need to go analog these days with crap like what Sony's pulling... Come on, Sony, you made my childhood and teenhood consoles of the Playstations! How could you deny me physical discs and even ownership? And to think we even got a PS5...
I've also tried to get myself less car-based means of transport, so I tried to embrace my inner Bernie Barges ("Corneil and Bernie") and get a kick scooter. ... Unfortunately, that was a child's one actually, and even my small and shrinking size cannot actually manage. Well, at least I was able to return it and I'll be getting an adult tricycle instead. ... Yes, they make trikes for adults, generally for transportation of yourself and items. I'm not looking to impress people with BMX tricks nor anything, I just want a casual ride to burn energy and make travel easier. Now, where do I park it, when people only seem interested in making car spaces...? Oh well, still fun and I still have a cool new helmet.
I've also been going "analog" myself: trying to embrace physical writing more than typing, especially for story-making. You really do memorize things better that way. It's also good to jot things down and then literally burn it, erasing it from your mind. I'd also like to get back into using cash, but it's easier to earn "cash back" with a card. And when is the Taco Bell crisis going to end? I wanna go back to ordering food without fear of contracting a parasite, even if it's not lethal.
